I Did It - The Breast Cancer 3-Day
As you may (or may not) know, I spent the summer training for the Breast Cancer 3-Day. Well, all that training paid off. Not only did I complete the three days, I did it with nary a blister.
A year ago I never would have even considered signing up. WLS has not only benefitted me, but the Susan G. Komen Foundation and my cousin Gretchen who walked with me.
If you have even just entertained the thought of doing this, I would strongly encourage you to do it. There is most likely one happening near you. You can start fundraising now if the thought of raising $2200 is holding you back. The dates for 2007 should be announced in September and I am already planning for it. If you can't walk, consider volunteering or working as a crew member. if you can't do that, donate to someone or come out and cheer during the event.
I met some amazing people, heard some inspiring stories and was overwhelmed by the gratitude of strangers who came out to cheer on the walkers, make signs, hand ou****er and frozen sponges.
If you want to see pictures, go to my album for the weekend.

Thank you to those of you who wished me well, donated money or just asked how it was going.
Take care,
J
PS Now that my Saturday mornings are open again, I will see you at Eagan coffee. If my calendar is correct, that's this Saturday (8/26).
Congratulations Jenny!
I'm very proud of you! I loved the pictures. They actually brought tears to my eyes! I'm getting close to my 5 year mark since my breast cancer diagnosis. I've been told you aren't really considered a "survivor" until you are 5 years out...well, I'm gonna make it!
Thanks again!
