Whole can of tuna?
Anyone else out there able to eat a whole can of tuna? I had an entire can for dinner last night and that troubles me for some reason. According to the label, there's 2.5 servings of 2 oz each - that makes 5 ounces of tuna and about 175 calories total. (btw, these are the stats for Chix of the Sea Solid White Albacore packed in water). For dinner last night, I had a can of tuna on a bed of salad greens with half a sliced cucumber, a small plum tomato, and 6 or 7 olives. I didn't put any mayo on it - just drained it and put it on top of the salad with some low fat ranch. I still had room for s/f jello and s/f coolwhip for dessert.
Can anyone else eat this much or am I just being greedy?
I replied to ya on the Grads board but YES I can eat a whole can. Once it is drained and flaked... it doesn't amount to that much honestly. What maybe it'd fit into a 1/4 cup container? Calorically it's fine at 175 - the vegies add nothing to the mix other than taste and texture and crunch and they chew up to nothing. And we all know that jello just swishes through. LOL!

Hiya Tracy, I can also eat a whole can of tuna. I find that if it's packed in water ...and we all buy that kind, I use the water/juice - to moisten the salad and then have to use less mayo or dressing. For a quick snack or lunch I even like to dump it over a can of green beans.
Your dinner sounded yummm.
