OMGSH - I've got head hunger
No way - can you believe it??? Me - Miss I can't eat enough, this is weird.
My husband is now gone for three days at a time for his work. The adjustment has been pure H%%l on me and the kids. I find my self very depressed lately. And all I want to do is EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm eating my meal, then drinking my water, then chewing gum and watching the darn cloc****il my two hours is up so I can eat again!!! This is absolutely NUTS
Today I went to the store and bought sf twizzlers, knowing full well that the first time I bought them I got very sick off them. And of course, I did again tonight.... but I wanted them!!!
Why is it that we never "want" a can of tuna, or a protein drink??? It's always the JUNK that calls our name.
I've got to find something to do with my days besides waiting for Steve to come back and watching the clock to eat...... this is not gonna work for any length of time.

We're with ya Laurie, boredom , schedule changes and too much time on our hands spells " What's in the fridge?" and " what can I eat?"
We are undergoing some big schedule changes in my house too. I don't have the answer but am trying to keep extra fruit and cheese sticks and yogurt around so if I just gotta eat ...maybe they'll be what I choose. Coming on the msg. board and sharing is a great help...cuz we all know where you're coming from. It's a safe place to open up and express what's bothering us. I've never seen any criticism or unkindness here. It's comforting just to know you'll be 'heard'.
I just re-read your comment about never wanting tuna ...and had to laugh cuz can't remember ever scrounging around the kitchen for some tuna to snack on.
Hang in there, you are not alone.

Yep, sounds like boredon to me too. I'm also a boredom eater, stress eater, coping with change eater, needing comfort eater, you name it. You need something to do to pass the hours. Any projects around the house need doing? Painting, redecorating, etc? That could help pass some hours. Anyway, good luck!
Hugs, Tracy
Shhhhhhh Tracy - don't let my husband here you talk about projects around the house. He'll be leaving me a list of painting and things to do. lol
Yes, I need to sort through all of the kids' clothes (no small task with five kids at home) and figure out what they need to start school. That would keep my busy, I just don't feel like starting it. hahaha
Good luck, Laurie!
I think I can honestly say that we've all been in your place and probably will be again and again.
Sounds like you need to create a routine for when hubby isn't around, if you can. Change of routine is so hard. Even weekends throw me off. There is something comforting about my week days that are structured and planned. (Geek, that I am.)
Hugs, Kathy
Oh yes, I like routine!!!! But we won't get settled into one until after school starts. We don't start until Sept. 5th. This is only his second week on this crazy schedule. This afternoon he'll come home for 7 hours and then he's gone again for three days - totally SUCKS!!!!! But I leave those 7 hours open so that we can see him as much as we can. Once school starts, the kids will only see him on the weekends.
But I will do better on the eatting thing. Planned out meals and snacks is the best way for me to keep on track!! So, I've got some planning to do.
