Need your help
Thanks for the article, Kathy! This is me-I wondered where the heck the rapid heart rate and hot flash thingy after eating a normal, healthy meal was coming from. I thought I was dumping, but couldn't figure out why I would dump after eating the "right" foods. I know I'm in end-stage perimenopause, but that didn't seem to explain why it came on so suddenly after eating. I'll be more careful and alert my very supportive PCP.
I have had some real issues with low B12 lately, got glositis (that nasty tongue thing). I started taking the sublingual B's and within days, I was much better. Can't seem to get the iron up where it should be-it's 10.3-but working on it.
Becky Jean who sends y'all lots of hugs....
Thanks for posting this info Kathy. A friend of mine recently had a black out and has also had the "gimpy" foot. We talked about it and thought it probably was a low b12 level and she's had some blood work done today. But that article sounds like what happened to her when she had gone out to eat with a friend of hers. She actually blacked out momentarily. I've emailed the links to her.

Becky, Sorry you are having such a struggle. Everything Kathy said is exactly what my doctor would have said.
I'm trying to sort out the lo blood sugar spaz attacks myself and upping the protein seems to help me. I agree about the carbs but it is so hard, I never met a carbohydrate I didn't like !
Hope you feel better soon,
Mary
