Struggling not to lose more
How many among us are struggling not to lose more weight? I know that it isn't the majority but I suspect there are several out there who have trouble with malabsorption beyond the average amount or where their pouch has stayed very small and they have trouble getting enough calories in a day. A very strange concept for folks that overate but it is a reality for some.
I know that some folks might say to someone struggling with keeping weight on "I wish I had your problem" like it was something good. But we all know, it isn't. Worrying about absorbing proper nutrition or absorbing enough vitamins to stay healthy is a very scary prospect.
Just know that I'm thinking of you and hoping you are all doing well.

Definitely not me!! Im struggling to stay under 170, however I have written down intake and am getting WAY too much fat, just enough protein, carbs.. .up and down and not enuff water... calories... AVERAGE out... good some days, bad others.
Gotta be stricter about my water and protein...
Gee I guess Im NORMAL....whatever that is...
Hugs to you...
Did you ever figure out the chest/stomach pain culprit???
Karen
Hey, good morning, Karen!
I don't know any of this for fact but....
I believe my side pain was a rib cartilage issue triggered by a selenium deficiency. My children's vitamins (chewables) don't have any in them. The pain was here then left for a while - well, I had switched to Centrum Silver adults which do have selenium. Then we ran out of those and resorted back to childrens and the pain ultimately came back. Weird, eh?
I believe my chest pain was caused by swallowing my selenium tablet. Timing-wise the chest pains started a week or two after starting them. I think it irritated my esophagus or something and esophageal spasms such that food would trigger it was well. I had a scope done and there was nothing interesting in my anatomy. Anyway, this was learned by trial and error and paying attention to my body. I started taking some vitamins with hot tea and things improved. So, I switched my big B100 complex tablets (which I was breaking into 2 pieces before swallowing) to B100 capsules. I cut my selenium tablet into quarters before swallowing. I take the capsules and such with hot decaf tea. Chest pains gone. Just like that. Weird, part deux!
Thanks for asking! Appreciate it!
