Sorry I haven't been around lately
Last weekend I moved. I moved across town and just now got all the boxes unpacked and now all I have to do is put up all the pictures and make it look more homey. I did find a nail in the wall and hung up the picture above my couch.
I am very glad to be out of my old apartment it was very dark, dank, and I didn't like it very much. My new apartment is bright, cheery and in a nice neighborhood. I've met a few of my neighbors and it just goes to prove don't judge a book by its cover. One of my neighbors wears the pants that hang down and show his boxers and I thought I'm not going to like him but he saw me coming out with another load of boxes and helped me to the dumpster with them. He seemed really nice. I won't be inviting him in for tea but at least I don't have to be weary of him. My apartment is in a nice quiet neighborhood instead of being just off the highway and it is taking some getting used to not hearing all that traffic. I have had a hard time falling asleep because I'm used to hearing a lot of noise. I turned on my radio last night and that seemed to help.
I'm glad to be back among you maysters and hope I can continue to support you and have you support me along this journey.

Happy Housewarming Hugs Jan, Glad you've found a cheery location in a quiet neighborhood. If the quiet is a struggle to get used to maybe you could find a sound machine that makes a choice of nature sounds, like spring showers, babbling brook, heartbeat and ocean waves and some even include a soft fuzzy setting called 'white noise' ( not in any way to be confused w/the movie of same name ) Being the weekend is about to start you might find one at a yard sale. I got one for $1.00 last spring at a yard sale and the lady had just put in fresh batteries ! I love to listen to ocean waves as I drift off to sleep. Sweet dreams,
Mary
