15 MONTH ROLL CALL!
hey Kathy! and of course the rest of my beloved Maysters!
I am hanging in there... still haven't lost much in the last 4 months.. kinda go back and forth 5 lbs....
I am in real need to control my eating at night... my BAD habbits are back... and I can't seem to really want to break them!
I do get my excercise in at least 4 times per week and I feel awesome physically.... mentally... I am not to happy that I can't get myself back to losing weight again. So I am down my 100lbs... still weigh ~240... I am about 5'7.. so I don't look half bad... I really want to be below 200 so I can start looking into a TT...
Well... it's up to me.. I gotta stop the mindless eating....WAY TO many blt's for sure...and snacking on the wrong foods! I do get my water and vits in for the most part!
So that's it guys!
Hugs to you all!
Marla
Hello all! Good to see those names that have not posted in a while. Most of the time I am a lurker myself.
I am really enjoying my summer as a much lighter person. I love being able to do active things with more energy and enthusiasm than previous years. I feel so much younger, sometimes my body reminds me that I am not the kid I think I am, ha ha ha
I am currently 163 - a weight I never dreamed would be attainable - ever. I am a size 10 and have a few size 8's in my wardrobe as well. Me - in a size 8... who woulda thought? Life is good. Life is very good.
Hi Maysters,
I've been off the computer for a little while. I developed some tendonitis in my right wrist from resting my hand on the mouse pad too long!!! It hurt so bad, and was so swollen, I thought it was broken. I went to see my PCP about it, and she was worried at first it might be gout, ouch. But, it just appears to be tendonitis, and is slowly getting better. It was the first visit to my PCP since last fall, and I'm down another 70 pounds since then. She is not a big supporter of GB surgery, and didn't have any positive comments about my weight loss (170 pounds), go figure.
Otherwise, I have been doing well. This will be the first month that I have not lost any weight since the surgery. I had dropped to 175, then have rebounded to 178 and holding. I weigh myself every day to keep from creeping up any more. I am still exercising four times a week, and always get in my water and vitamins. I still start the day with a protein hot chocolate drink.
My tummy tuck surgery is now scheduled for Sept. 21st, and I am very nervous about the recovery. The loose skin on my arms drives me crazy. It's bad on my thighs, but for some reason that doesn't bother me so much. Maybe because my panni is so large right now, I can't see the saggy thighs!! It's hard to keep the batwings confined to short sleeve shirts, it wants to hang down so much. I'll probably not be able to afford plastics for the arms, so I have to learn to live with it.
I do enjoy reading about everyone's progress and struggles. I fight the urge to snack, and sometimes win, sometimes not. I have decided once the youngest leaves the nest in two weeks for college I am going to go on another severly restricted carb regimen until the TT. That was very successful for me in May, and it might shock the weight loss again. I am hoping with the TT to get below 170 and stay there. I am still wearing a size 16, but I started at a 32-34. It is just wonderful to be able to shop in the regular womens section.
Thanks to Mary and Kathy for all your supportive comments. You two are OH angels to all of us.
Best wishes to you all.

Debra,
Pfffftttt to your doctor. You've done an amazing job! Your doctor will just continue to see how healthy you are now and stay because of this.
What I want to suggest for your low carb regimen until TT, is to do several protein shakes a day. I have friends that have done this for weeks before plastics and after and their healing and recovery from the surgery was excellent. In fact, the one gal's surgeon now has all his plastics patients pump protein shakes prior to surgery and during the weeks after. He was impressed with the speed of the physical healing. Hey, it cannot hurt!
I'm sure the TT will get you below the 170 if you aren't already there with your low carb regimen. I'm amazed at how many pounds of skin/tissue that get removed.
So, you are teetering at being half the woman you used to be, eh? How absolutely astounding is that? I'm in awe of folks that make such a journey. Actually, I'm in awe of all of us.
Thanks for your kind words!
Hugs,
Kathy

Hiya Debra, Love to see ya posting Lucky girl getting your TT! I know what you mean about the batwings. Wore a short (cropped) sleeve shirt to church this evening and caught myself tugging at it all nt. to keep it from exposing my flaps. Wi**** wasn't so ugly. Was recently looking at some pictures from the Grand Canyon 2 summers ago and when I realized how huge my arms were then I gasped!!! Could have been a lady wrestler by the looks of those arms. So guess I have to admit
I'll take this built in landing gear over those mamma bear arms. Ever wonder how we could not really SEE ourselves before ??? The mirror is kinder these days thank God.
Hugs,
Mary
