Hey, Mary! Glad to hear you doing so well. To coin an old adage "slow and steady wins the race". One doesn't have to get somewhere at rabbit speed.... turtle speed still gets there. You have time! As for anti-inflammatories... can you take Coromega (emulsified fish oil)? Fish oil is a natural anti-inflammatory. Bless ya too, Kathy

Im always here. Still trying to maintain my beloved goal of 150. I fluctuate between 145 and 150. Ive lost 117 pounds total. I still hate my legs, I will never be happy with them. I will find a way to live with them as I will never be able to afford plastics. I live day to day coping with the food demons, sometimes easy, sometimes not. (mostly not) I use to exercise like a fiend but have let it fall by the waist side, working on that. Protein and water still come pretty easy though. I dont know what Id do if I could not look forward to coming here each day. You guys are the best! Candy

Candy, I have horrific legs. I have always carried a whole lot of weight in them. They still don't look good, but, I've been amazed at how much all the exercise I do has shrunk them down. Maybe in a year or so, I'll like them better. I do encourage the exercise, even if it is just walking! A fellow big-legged gal, Lori

As much as my breasts are hollow... the legs have ended up being the worst. But like you, Candy, I'll manage. Thank goodness for capris! Yippee! Sounds like you are doing great weight-wise! Excellent! Kathy

Hi Candy, You've done great! I was doing great on the exercise at first then I slowly started doing less and less until I was hardly doing any. Well, one day at a support group meeting, one of the gals asked if I'd participate in a relay race. Well, since I'd just been chastising myself for not doing any exercise, I said yes without really thinking about it. Long story short, I couldn't participate in the race due to family obligations but I did tell another participant that I'd help her train for it. Which meant that I had to keep encouraging her to go farther and faster, which in turn, made me do that also. That was last March and I was ecstatic when I was able to walk 2 miles. I just recently completed a half-marathon (13.1 miles), actually did 13.5 miles. You do get addicted to it when you find something you like. Maybe someone else in your support group can buddy up with you and you can keep each other motivated. That's what we've done in our group. Now there are about 6 regulars and occasionally we have others join us in our walks. The comraderie we've developed is awesome. It's hard to explain but we've all gone thru an amazing journey together and we know what an accomplishment we've done that someone who hasn't gone thru this surgery just cannot understand. It takes awhile but soon you'll feel better after you start exercising more. Good luck Linda

I'm maintaining my goal and hover in the low 130's. I've been doing my wonderful Jazzercise. I'm working really hard on arms, stomach and thighs. I would like to get in more protein but I never really fell in love with protein shakes. I think I'll have to retry some. It's been an incredibly busy summer. Since the move and I'm a new teacher in a new school district I have to start training on the 7th....ugh!!! I'm not ready to go back to school. The kids don't start again until the 22nd. Things will be very busy after that for sure so I don't know if I'll be on here often. I'll try to pop in when I can. That's about it. Nothing new. ana
