What should I do?
I go another website and am trying to figure out what to do. Before I had my surgery they were very supportive and said good job way to think of yourself. Well I just got done reading another post from someone wondering why their doctor would not do the surgery because they had a mental illness. They were telling this person not to do it that people that do it should just eat less exercise more etc. So this makes me wonder if they were really being supportive of me at the time. I'm really confused now and don't know if I should talk to the people or not. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Maybe they were saying that because this other person had not tried to lose weight by nonsurgical means before pursuing WLS? Everyone has different cir****tances, so their comments on this other person's situation does not necessarily mean they were not supportive of your situation. I don't know, Jan. Go with your instincts.
There are lots of people out there that are anti-surgery and that think of it is an "easy way out". We all know differently, of course... there is nothing easy about this.
You went through surgery yes. Whether you disclose that to the grou*****t is up to you. The bottom line is that the further post-op you get... there is no magic going on. You have to eat less calories than you burn in order to continue to lose weight - isn't that the same as what the others are doing?
For me personally, I would not like to be around a bunch of folks that put down what I have done and I wouldn't be able to be silent about it. But I agree with Tracy... you have to go with your instincts and your own comfort level within the group.
