WOW....12 Mile Hike
WOW!! I am just beyond proud of myself and had to share....
I am up here at camp as a nurse for 2 weeks in the mountains of north carolina. I have been walking every morning for about an hour with another girl. We go up and down many many steep hills. But yesterday I went on a 12 mile hike that took 6 hours with 25 15 yo girls!! I did it!! I did better than some of them! And I could even walk today! I thought I would be so sore but I wasn't.
I am just so thrilled with myself. And am so very very thankful for my awesome tool! Imagine a little over a year ago and I wouldn't even walk to get the mail and now I am hiking up and down a mountain!!
Thanks for reading and sharing in my accomplishment!

Jen we can hear the joy in your accomplishment! How wonderful it is that you could do a 12 mile hike! Applause please
and to think last week you were bummed about the running...seems you have found a niche where you can truly shine ! The word serendipity comes to mind. A pleasant delightful surprise. We rejoice with you Jen. Congrats you are doing so very well. Hugs, Mary
Way to go, Jen! That's awesome!
I know how you feel, I was in DC last week and did a TON of walking all over the district. One day, we walked so far to a museum, on the way back, asked a police officer if we were heading the right direction to our hotel and he said, "Yes, it's that way, but it's not walking distance!" We said, "Oh, we walked down here from there!"
