Lori, I've been a slug all this wk. earlier I blamed it on the torrential downpours but yesterday and today the sun is back and gravity has still got me by the seat of my pants. Send energizing thoughts my way! Glad you had such a fantastic time at the concert. sometimes sleepin' in is the ticket. * I did go out and check my veggie garden yesterday and all the squash plants are better than knee high and full of bloom. I saw huge deer tracks in the garden so I stepped in to examine... and sank down about 10" ! Guess the deer tread lightly... cuz my flip flops got sucked down and almost couldn't yank em out of that mud. Soggy Bottom USA down here ! My lovely rose garden is a wonderful pond for the geese to stop off and swim in. Bet I won't be able to set foot in that puddle for days...but the roses and flowers look so lovely, the extra extra watering did em good and they're beautiful.
Thinkin' bout taking a walk today and dropping handfuls of speghetti squash seeds here and there on the side of the road as I walk. We have alot of neighbors who walk this road daily and I'm feeling playful and thinking as these seeds sprout and grow and produce it will create quite a delight among my countryside friends and a bit of a conversation piece plus free squash - who could resist? . Mary
Mary,
I love the "Johnny Appleseed" spaghetti squash idea! Do it!
Sometimes it is so hard to get yourself exercising again once you've taken a break. I guess you need to "just do it." Start out kinda small until you can work up to former levels. The key is to push yourself every day to do it, until your body won't let you not do it. I was there before my vacation and have to push myself every day since. I'm just now starting to attain my pre-vacation energy levels back for exercise!
Big Hugs,
Lori
