Hi Michelle, Kathy and Rich went out of town to an OH thing right from the hospital after having her EGD. She was going to try and post and let us know she was ok, I'm hoping no news is good news and that she is having a great time.

Hey, sweet Barb! I'm here. Rich forgot the network card for the PC so we had no internet access. Test went fine except for some brutual gas on the ride from the hospital. Owie! Test results were negative. Normal pouch. No ulcers. No stricture. No answers. I hate this. I see my surgeon tomorrow for a discussion. Luck to get the appointment so fast - we called after my EGD and he had an opening. Hugs, Kathy

ahhh, there you are. Hope you had a good weekend, you deserve some fun. I don't know what to say about the results of your EGD. Glad they didn't find anything wrong but sorry that they didn't find what was wrong. hmmm, wish I had some thoughts for you babe. But you have even stumped me. I would've bet on an ulcer. Ask about the Nexium. Who knows. Also ask about Levsin. It's an anti spasmodic and sometimes gives me relief from some mysterious left sided pain where there are no organs!?!? (I thought it was my old stomach all this time but surgeon said that old tummy isn't even there) Had a terrible night last night. I was so hoping the nexium would solve the burning and night time regurgitation but it was horrible last night. HORRIBLE And my support group had some not so great things to say about the Gastro guy my PCP is sending me to. Dam , this is so frustrating. I feel your pain. Hey Barb, sad to hear you also are suffering with the nt. regurgitation issues. I know first hand how painful that can be. I take protonix and if it burns the esophagus the levsin is a huge help easing the spasms which become aggrivated by the burns and it calms it down alot. I also use a herbal remedy called slippery elm powder. ( I think it comes fr the bark of the slippery elm tree) Mixed w/water it thickens and drank immediately eases the inflamed tissues all the way down . I can actually feel the relief as it slides down my throat. It is an old indian remedy. If interested check herb shoppes or vit. shops. Impt. to drink right away cuz it sorta gels and becomes a pudding type within minutes. (tastes like black walnut/butterscotch flavor) I notice that if I eat anything within 2 hrs of bedtime I get the regurgitation problems so try to eat nothing before bed to be in stomach to come back up and irritate things. Hope your doc gets " with it" and brings you some answers and RELIEF ! Mary
