Gym Is Open (Wednesday)
I woke up this morning feeling poorly, I think I'm fighting a sinus infection or something. Stayed home from the gym and work. But, now it is almost 2 pm and I feel pretty good and feel like going to the gym. I think I may do just that in about an hour or so. I have my WLS support group meeting tonight and I definitely want to be there as we are having a baby shower for our surgeon who just adopted a 10 month old girl from one of the former soviet republic countries. She is single and in her early 40's I think. I'm very happy for her!
What did you do to move your body today?
Lori
I did 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical (yup, I increased the resistance like I was supposed to, and I'm still alive!).
Also did a circuit of abs 3x in a row:
1 minute of core bridge
15 single leg rises to meet my hand on each leg
15 scissor kicks for the lower abs that must have been feeling left out!
20 crunches with my legs in the air.
Then rest, and do it again and again. I hope I'm sore tomorrow!

Got up early and sorted thru 5 bags of clothes to set out for p/u from valu-vilage'. Felt so good to get rid of so much stuff. ( Still have a huge load for a 2 mo. post op who just returned from overseas. ) ...back to the moving the old bod: I started digging in the garden at about 8:30 am and planted 10 rose bushes. Mixed 2 wheel barrow loads of manure & peat moss and put in the holes before the roses got planted, then planted 10 pink blossomed creeping thyme between the roses.( took a 45 min break for lunch) Then put 2 wheelbarrow loads of mulch around. then watered all ...and myself too, cuz it got plenty hot today. Came in at 2:15 pm and was bushed. Hard work but it is so swee****ching my dream come into fruition. One more island to plant and then getting a good ground cover. Looking into something called ' chamomile lawn' . Supposed to replace the need for grass while offering a fragrant scent when walked on and reported to be soft and springy underfoot. Anybody ever use it? I'd like feedback about it.

Hi Lori, yes it does feel so freeing to get rid of those clothes and hubby got into the act and emptied his closet of his extras so we have more room to navigate in our room I'll try to shoot a photo of the garden and share. We are in the midst of a wonderful visit from our daughter -n- her hubby and our 4 lil' red-headed grandchildren. I am in Grandma heaven !!! Having a ball and busy as a bee. Maybe when the wknd is over... It's a work in progress ( the garden ).
Thanks for your ever cheery replies. I've been offline except for a few minutes here and there for days. Have a great weekend ! Mary
