Gym Is Open (Monday)

I did go swimming for an hour yesterday after my radio show. But, I did not make it to the gym this morning...I have no good excuse, except sleep felt like the thing to do instead...but, now I only have 1286 of my 10,000 steps required for the day so far, so I'm going to have to take a very long walk tonight to make up for it. Hey Lori, I did 30 minutes cardio on the elliptical and then weight training with my trainer. We did a series of abs that was incredible. I think I'm going to try and incorporate it on my cardio only days. When I asked my trainer why I couldn't get my heart rate above 120 when doing cardio, she wanted to know what resistance I was using. I said 2, and she wants me to be at least at a 5 -- I guess I'm gonna have some tough days ahead of me. But I'm ready for the challenge, and I always do better when someone else is challenging me. If it were up to me, I'd be happy staying at 2, when my body can probably do much more. Angie

Angie, This is exactly why I work with a trainer as well. She keeps giving me new stuff to push me. I know I wouldn't push myself that hard. The progress I've made is tangible so it is totally worth it! Good for you!!!! Lori
