The "B"s of it (please read!)

I'll try to find the post but over the weekend an older post-op posted that she had lost down to 87 lbs. Yes, 87 lbs! She is now trying to get back to 120 which was her goal. Why did she get so low? A B1 deficiency. We all know that our very own Laurie had a B1 (thiamine) deficiency and suffered from it. If thiamine is low... it is possible that you don't absorb all your protein and nutrients. Obviously this woman suffered... she had two heart attacks and a stroke I think. Doctors were baffled but it all came down to a simple letter "B". She said it all took to fix things was a simple vitamin supplement. So folks, a multivitamin or two, calcium and B12 just aren't enough. Please, please, please take a B100 supplement too if you aren't already. Kathy

Are the supplements in our multivits not enough...my surgeon's offcie just tells us 1 MVI, 2 calcium, iron, and b12....The discrepancies out there are alarming at best. Thanks for the post.

My surgeon recommends a B50 on top of the multivitamins. I was taking the B50 but replaced it with two B100s a day and that has gotten rid of my neuropathy in my feet. Kathy
