B - Protein/yogurt smoothie, later some fruit L - leftovers from dinner: roasted chicken, salad D - light version of chickenbroccoli alfredo, a few baby carrots Snacks - 2 oreos, strawberries, grapes, fruit gummy snacks Had my 2 calciums and 1 flintstone, will have other this evening I just bought these Citrical Petites, they are tiny and cute. Each one is 400 mg. Ca Citrate. We can't absorbe more than 600 right? I guess I'll have to take 2 and 2 more later which totals 1600??? What do you think about that Kathy? Hmm, I didn't even think when I bought it; impulse buy..beats impulse snack buys though!!! I usually take these CaCitrate capsule from Vitalady (each one is 500 mg). My nut said to do it twice a day and make up for it with milk products (I usually am pretty good with milk, cheese and yogurt). Hmmm.

Um, Ana... think those Citrical Petites are 400 mg for 2 pills not each. Rich takes 8 a day - 2 at a time for a total of 1600 mg. We cannot absorb more than 500 mg at a time. I just ordered the UpCalD powder from Vitaladay. Waiting on it. It is relatively tasteless and people mix it into shakes and such. A small scoop is 500 mg. Figured I can get away from some pills by having calcium with each of my shakes (I do 3 a day). Then I wouldn't have much else to take. Be careful on the Flintstones, hon. If you read the label, they do not have: Vit K, selenium and perhaps some of the other minerals. You might want to try the Centrum Silver Chewables. They are "adult" strength and have all the stuff we need. Or talk with your nut. Tell your nut you know someone deficient in selenium due to children's vitamins! Do you take iron? Kathy

See, I knew you'd get right back to me on the vites! I haven't tried the petites but I'm reading the label and you're right about the 2 tabs for 400. So each has 200 and I need at least 1200, that's 6 a day. The magic number is 500 per absorption. I think I'll do 3 twice a day until I finish them. I did read your post about the selenium and was going to call my nutrionist. How many of the chewables do you take? I'm reading hubby's Men's Oneaday's and he does the K and Se. Maybe we should post on what vites everyone takes, again. It's been awhile. I think I"ll finish the petites and go back to my Vitalady capsules; they were so easy.

Another stressful day here. My daughter (22) graduated from college last month and is in Europe for a month. She's been there since Saturday and called me at 5:00 am- her wallet is gone. She's lost 2 credit cards, 300 in cash, her Drivers' License. UGH. Here she was, alone, bawling, trying to get on a train to get back to where she needed to go. Someone gave her money for the train. She is traveling with a friend of mine who is working there, but was doing the tourist thing alone today. She's back at the hotel with my friend now and is safe, luckily she has her passport, but what a mess! She's worked so hard to have zero balances on her credit cards for this trip, so she was so stressed. It turned out that she was able to call Capital One, and they'll be delivering a new credit card to her to her hotel in Germany tomorrow morning. How cool is that? So, all is fine now, but I wanted to stress eat all day. LND- 1/2 grilled cheese, roasted tomato soup B- protein shake S- banana, yogurt L- a little beef jerky, 2 cookies, I think that's it S- protein pudding D- will be a grilled burger, baked beans, watermelon vits- all in excer- not today water- on track

Well Candi, that's quite a shake-up ...for her but , wow, for Mama too ! Feels pretty helpless when she's over there and you are here and ya can't fix it. God bless you both. I am so glad the card co. is on the ball and will have her a card asap. There is a silver lining after all. How wonderful your friend was there for her too. In the face of all that stress, you did great with your food! I wish you a gift of peace, Mary
