Opened my yap ...
The main message board tends to be drama central. Turns out the person who got all offended by me thought I had called her a red-neck because I had said to pull up a chair and bring in some Orville R. I guess they don't have Orville Redenbacher popcorn in Alabama, or something. Very bizarre.
Whatever. It's all pretty funny. Maybe I should post in a huffy tone, "I'm taking my ball and going home now." Those are my favorite posts. I've been on the internet since time began (1989) and I think flame wars can actually be pretty funny. My favorite ancient internet rule is once the name "Hitler" gets mentioned, the flame war is over. If you Google my real name, you'd find some pretty wild stuff from me in about 1993-94. That was before we all knew to use fake names. I was one of the charter members of the oldest fan list on the net ('Humans' -- the Bruce ****burn fan list). Gosh, I just Googled and there are photos ... oh my gosh.

Gosh I hope it's the picture of Gail and I being silly. We were backstage at a Bruce ****burn concert in Seattle.
I used to work at Unisys (started when it was Sperry Univac) and spent a lot of time posting from work. In addition to photos, you'll see all kinds of variations of my email address out there. My "real" email address (which I've had since time began) is also out there posted for the world, which probably explains why I get so much spam. If you go far enough back, you'll find reference to me yapping about John Gorka, David Wilcox, general folk and early music, buying water heaters, and other miscellaneous Usenet areas I hung out in. I know better how to cover my internet tracks now. If you're really bored, Google "eileen" "kitchen blunders" (this cracks me up) -- you don't even need my last name. Fortunatly, I never posted stuff I'm too ashamed of, but this is a classic case of be careful what you do online.

Yes, it was the pictures of you, Gail and Bruce...
Don't worry! It wasn't the secret pictures. Those aren't available online. Well, they are but you have to know the right people and pay the right price, of course.
I worked for Sperry in Great Neck from 1982 to 1986 - my first job out of college. I worked on a Unisys (was Sperry Univac at the time) mainframe and in fact I am STILL working on a Unisys mainframe. Of course, we use relational database tables and have an internet front end that is Cold Fusion but still... The Unisys mainframe be a dinosaur (like me) but it is solid and dependable.
I'll check the kitchen blunders out...
Luckily my maiden name Kathy Lang is a fairly common name. Any stuff posted around the net cannot be directly pinned on me. Teflon... I'm made of teflon.
