Hope everyone is doing good and will have a good holiday weekend!
Here is what I did at the gym today:
Weight Training Circuit (Complete 3 cycles)
1. Machine Leg Press 1 x 8
2. Machine Chest Press 1 x 8
3. Cable Seated Row 1 x 8
4. Machine Leg Curls 1 x 8
5. Standing DB Shoulder Press 1 x 8
6. Standing DB Biceps Curls 1 x 8
7. SB Dumbbell Triceps Extension 1 x 8
8. Machine Back Extension 1 x 10
9. SB Crunch 1 x 15
For cardio, I did a quick 20 minutes on the treadmill. I will have to take a walk this evening to get in my 10,000 steps.
What did you do to move your body today?
Lori
The gal that usually opens in the morning called our house this morning and took full responsiblity though someone else was supposed to open for her. She said that all the usual morning regulars would be getting a credit of $10-15 off the dues this month. I can live with that.
This has happened 3 times since the gym opened in mid-January. I'm sure the management is not please especially when it costs them revenue.

Angie,
There is the walking program that the government developed (I think). It recommends that we all get in a minimum of 10,000 steps a day for good health. It says that most folks get in 3,000 to 5,000 steps a day if they are pretty active with their jobs. Without exercise, I get in around 2500 steps. About 2000 steps are 1 mile, of course that depends on your stride.
I really find the pedometer very motivating. I wear it all the time. I have been wearing it for about 2 weeks straight. The most I've ever gotten in a day is 14000 steps. Today, I only have 4144 so far so that is why I need to walk about 2.5 miles tonight.
Let me know how you like it. Have your husband help you measure your stride.
