Not Supposed To Be This Way!!!
I just spent the morning shopping for jeans. First of all, everyone has shorts out now. But I'm freezing and my jeans are all too big. So, I went to three stores and here are the results:
Store One: They had ONE pair of size 4 jeans. I tried them on TOO BIG!!!! WOW! That was a shocker, let me tell you. Knowing they had no size 2's I asked the clerk what size in Juniors I would be if the 4's were too big. She said 3's and off I went looking. Found a few to choose from, but the were all LOW rise (and I mean LOW), UGH - not happening for me!!! Off to next store.
Store Two: Was ALL junior sizes, but the styles sucked!! They were stressed and torn (on purpose) and faded, and basically looked "dirty" to me. I asked the sales clerk where I can get just plain regular BLUE jeans - she looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language.... GGGGGRRRR Off to next store.
Store Three: They had a full selection of misses and juniors. Again I grabbed a size 4 misses, and a couple of junior3 and 5's. Tried them on the 4's were too big, the 5's were too big. The 3's were just a tad snug in the "waist" But I think they would be the ones to buy. Except: I look in the mirror and my hip bones are sticking OUT of the top of my jeans!!! Honestly!!!!! I looked like some kind of FREAK!!! So again, I ask the store clerk where I can get just normal jeans. I said I'm small but I'm NOT 19 years old. I want age appropriate jeans. hahahaha this lady was 53 and she said she wears the clothes from her store. ROFL OK, so red faced I leave this store too!!!!
I'm absolutely astonished that a year ago I couldn't find jeans big enough to fit me and today I can't find jeans small enough (that cover enough) to fit me!!!!!
Talk about the irony of life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
guess I'm off to the mall this weekend to try some stores there.

I would try the men's department at any store. They ususally have them in waist/length sizes. You may have to use your hip measurment as the waist # but they definately cover the right places, and you can always belt or dart the waist. Another bonus is that they are historically cheaper....
Good luck...
