Check-up, Plastic Surgery, & Weight Loss
Good Afternoon, Maysters,
I have the day off today (boo, have to work tomorrow) so I thought I would catch up on what y'all have been doing. Big hugs again to those celebrating surgiversaries this week.
I went to the surgeon yesterday for my annual check-up, thinking that we would start talking about the TT, and I was SHOCKED to hear him say I was ready at any time for the extensive TT. I have a huge panni and waist, so I am anxious to get it removed, but I figured we would be considering it this fall. I have lost over 160 pounds according to his scale (165 by mine), so he was pleased. My labs are all good, too, so those vitamins must be doing their job.
I am surprised that I am still losing weight quickly this month. I hate to write this since I know how much it is a struggle for most of us right now. But I am down 15 pounds since the first of this month. I haven't had a weight loss like this since the first few months. I had dropped below 200 about mid-April, but then was back up to 200 by the 30th. Since May 1st, believe me, I am eating, but absolutely nothing white, no brown grains, no sugar alcohols. I am eating all forms of protien and lots of veggies. My food of choice is grape tomatoes!!! I keep them on the kitchen counter. I can't explain this, but am just enjoying the ride as long as it lasts. I went out to lunch with friends on Wednesday, and drooled over their incredible looking burgers and mounds of fries, but ate my roasted veggie salad with grilled chicken breast. I think it is very, very, very easy for some old food friends to creep back into our eating, and we don't even realize how much of them we're eating.
So, I am in agreement with Kathy's back-end May challenge: stay away from the carbs and see what happens.
And, I have to talk to my boss about when I can get the time off for the TT.
