I'm May 18

A year ago today I was banded. It's been a wonderufl journey. Had a few complications with kinked tubing, but outside of that I love it. I just finished a half marathon and will be 60 years old on May 24. Having a big beach party in Santa Cruz, CA at my home to celebrate. Wish you could all be here. Life is good. Learn the rules of the Bandster, stay CLOSE to your doctor, and exercise. It'll work. You'll get there. Got about 40 lbs to go, but I'm so healthy and active I've quit worrying about weight!!

Congratulations Barb, It's so nice to read your post. We bandster's are far and few on this board so I get excited when I see another bandster. I agree, life is good and and I wouldn't change a thing other than getting my band earlier. Continued success! NB 283/206/185

Sure was good to see your post, sorry a day late, tho. Happy for your great progress! A gal attended our support group the other nt. and was having difficulty finding a surgeon to do the lap band in the DC Metro and suburban Md. areas. You are adventurous doing the marathon, what a personal victory.. Congratulations and enjoy your beach party you've earned a celebration. Mary
