Gym Is Open (Monday)

It is a very busy day for me with meetings, but, I snuck out to get this post out for you exercisers! Here is what I did at the gym this morning: Exercise reps lbs Stability Ball Crunch w/weight 2 X 10 8-10 S Ball Knee Bend 2 X 10 S Ball Bridge 1 X 10 S Ball Bridge Curl-In 1 X 8 S Ball Oblique Twist 2 X 15 8-10 S Ball Elbow Raise 2 X 10 10 S Ball Pect. Fly w/ring 2 X 8 10 S Ball Pullover 2 X 8 12 S Ball Squat 2 X 10 15 Stability Disk Bicep Curl 2 X 8 30 Stability Disk Upright Row 2 X 8 40 Tricep Dips 2 X 8 Leg Curl Machine 2 X 10 80 For cardio, I only got in 20 minutes on the treadmill...ran out of time. 11 minutes on the cycle for 3 miles for my cardio and then the leg weight machines (leg press, leg curl, hip adductor, hip abductor, squat) and stability ball (side to side pelvic tilts, front to back pelvic tilts, leg lifts and wall squats). Kathy

Thanks, Lori! I was going well til my side pain kicked in. Never had my workouts start it until today. Not sure why but it did. Owie! I see the doc tomorrow. Saw my surgeon tonight and told him I got it figured out. He was very happy! Kathy

To me, the gym is always good on Monday morning. I think it's because I allow myself that 1 day of rest on Sunday. Anyway, today looks like this: 45 minutes on Treadmill: 10 minutes warm up at 3.5 15 minutes running at 4.5 20 minutes speed walking at 3.5; hill level 15 Upper body, including arms, back and chest. NB, I used to be able to allow myself a day of rest, but, now my addiction to the endorphins is too strong! I feel too blue unless I at least do some cardio...but, I think it is healthier for the body if you do rest. Lori

Mary, An exercise buddy really helps! I have a couple of women I meet at the gym each morning at 5 am. There has been more than one morning I felt like rolling over and skipping it, but, then what would I tell them? It really helps! Enjoy! Lori
