Gym Is Open (Saturday)

I did manage to get in my 4 mile walk last night. My blister hung in there since I have it so heavily bandaged. I do believe it is healing. Today, I have tons of household chores to do, so I'm making myself finish them first before I go off to exercise. I've been making exercise my number one priority, but, my house needs to be it today...but, if my housework doesn't kick up my endorphins enough, I'm sure I'll take off walking...I'm that dependant on those wonderful endorphins!!! I so never thought this would happen to me!!!!! What did you do to move your body today? Lori

I need to get moving again but gosh darn it I'm in pain. I took one of my mom's pain pills so hopefully that will work because my mom wants to take a walk down the nature trail to get a pic of the waterfall. It's been raining here so much it should be awesome. But if my knees still hurt like they are there is no walking for me. I did call the doc yesterday and he put me on an anti-inflammatory but he said it would take a few days to work. Oh well I could try Pilates tonight when I get home. Jan

Jan, Be careful with those anti-inflammatories...I know they work well, but, my surgeon keeps telling me to avoid them because they can cause ulcers in your pouch. Make sure you don't take them on an empty stomach! I so feel for you in this...knee pain really sucks because it affects everything your try to do! The movements in pilates is very much like the stuff my physical therapist gave me to do to work on my knee pain, so it might help. If something hurts though, stop doing it. Big hugs! Lori

Jan, What anti-inflammatory did the doctor put you on? Did the doctor also put you on something for your stomach? You should NOT be on any anti-inflammatories and even in the rare instance that they do put you on something you should be on something to protect your pouch. BE VERY CAREFUL! Kathy

Well, this morning I got up and worked out with my personal trainer and this is what we worked on: Upper Body: Arms Jump Rope: 2-1 minute session 45 minutes on the Treadmill (20 minutes running & 25 minutes walking) and I am sleepy right now. I think it's time to take a nap NB 283/206/185-190
