So close......And thank you, Maysters
So close to the "magic number." I have had it in my mind that I would be at my goal weight by one year out. My doc never gave me a goal weight. The nutritionist I saw preop scoffed at my goal of 150. She said I would never get that low. I have been obese my entire life, so I have no reference there. I just decided that I would like to just have a normal bmi. For my height, 5'2 I should be 135 to just barely squeak by with a normal bmi. On my surgiversary I was 136.5, today I am 138. It is typical for me to fluctuate 5lbs more or less. I was crabby most of the day over 1.5lbs. Obviously, I am disturbed! What is a mere 1.5lbs? Not really a big deal when I have weighed as much as 277! I have since snapped out of my "little mood." I am so grateful to God for this blessing! I feel 100% better than I did 1 year ago. The only regret I have is to not have had my revision sooner.
Anyway, I rarely post, mostly a lurker. That's just me. But I have to say "thank you" to all of you Maysters. I love reading all of your posts. The knowledge and help I have received here is invaluable. I cheer for all of your accomplishments and I empathize with you when things are not going well. Hooray for all of us!

Chris,
Glad to hear that you didn't let the 1.5 lbs get you upset for the whole day. I just came home from being away and I'm 2-3 lbs up. Well, with dining out - more carbs, more salt, etc... it isn't suprising. I weigh daily and am very, very used to up and down swings up to 3-4 lbs in a day so I really try hard not to let it phase me. Realistically I know I didn't eat enough calories to gain 3 lbs in a few days so I know it'll be temporary. It just is what it is. It only bothers me if I see an upward trend over several days.
Glad to have you here and posting!
