My WLS Surgical Center has asked me to be in a commercial.
Wow, feels so weird. I know I've lost 143 lbs, but, I still have at least 43 to go to get under 200 lbs and they still want me! I think I will do it. Because, I don't look svelte and perfect, but, when you start out as super morbidly obese, you don't turn out that way, so I will be real.
What do you guys think?

Lori, As humans we tend to be so tempted to compare ourselves by some imagined standard and we too often give ourselves ...less than a passing grade. You have done so very well and we ALL are tremendously proud of you! There are so many people who are NOW where you WERE and they so sincerely need to see a glimmer of hope that they too can make an exodus from the super morbid obesity. Give away what you have, from your heart. One day you will be amazed at the stories you hear of how your testimony made all the difference. This wls is not a magic wand that makes all weight vanish overnight. ( tho sometimes I wi**** were )
The reality of your personal journey and the { hard work } and dedication you have had to put into the process is a healthy dose of reality. A reality check that could even save some folks from some pretty serious dissillusionment. It works if ya work it ...as they say. See yourself as a gift and give freely. " Ya can't keep it if ya don't give it away" a friend reminds me often.
You might be surprised that some Mayers havent gotten out of the 200's yet either.
Me for one.
Mary
Lori!
Congratulations! What an honor for you! I hope you are able to record the commercial and get it online for all of us to see. I was asked to speak at a seminar tomorrow for my surgical center. It is a great experience, and if any of you ever have a chance, you should do it.
You are going to be a celebrity! I bet there will be all kinds of strangers congratulating you after the commercial airs. WooHoo!
