How quickly a year goes by!

When I woke up today it was like a normal day: alarm clock at 5:30 a.m., rush to get ready, wake up the 1 1/2 and 5 year old, get breakfast taken care of, jump in the vehicle and get ready to teach 21 Kindergarten kiddos. Then I get an email, it's hubby: the subject says, "Happy Anniversary." All I could think of was that our anniversary is not until June 21st!!! He's NEVER screwed this up. But then I kept reading and he writes how proud he is of me and how hard I've worked. That's when I realized, "Doh, it's my surgiversary." I knew it was coming but I had a senior moment I suppose. Anyway, so today is the day. This is where I pause and reflect right?? lol I answered the poll already but the short version is: Was a size 20 and now a 6 or sometimes a 4 Was 221 pounds Now 130ish (I used to be a daily weighing kinda gal...then we moved and I'm temporarily with my mom until we are totally moved in June and she doesn't OWN a scale...aaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhh!) I use the scale at school but I know it's different. I exercise daily in some form or another. If I don't run 2 miles I'm doing my floor and weight exercises. I obviously did NOT do this stuff before I was cut open! Eating is obviously different. Overall I stick to the surgeon's rules: proteins first, good carbs next. I do not have any problem foods incl. sugar....so I just learn to limit myself. I have a diet soda here and there but never with my meals. My family and friends have been very encouraging and have rooted for me the whole way. My big eye opener was turning 30 and needing blood pressure meds. I just coudln't believe it. The other was that both of my children were brought into this world 10 weeks early weighing under 3 pounds each due to pre-eclampsia. Even though my doc assured me that weight isn't really a factor and that even skinny moms have this problem, I wasn't convinced. A wonderful friend of mine had the surgery 3 years prior and is a great success story. So I took the plunge and I'm not looking back. This is the best thing I've done. I have no regrets. I'm so happy I did this while I'm young and my little ones have a healthier mommy. I am having a celebration this Friday. Hubby and a bunch of friends and I are going dancing!!! I can't wait. I must buy an awesome, sexy, snugly outfit to wear!!! Aliyah always has cute things...where is that girl! I guess I need to holla at my dragqueen brother for a fly outfit again. Is plastic surgery in my future?? YES. I need me some cute breasts!!! That will have to wait for my 2nd anniversary...we're having a house built and can't afford new girls right now. I won't complain much about everything else because there's more good than bad! I should be celebrating the almost 90 pounds that are gone!!! 125 used to be my goal but I've been pretty stable and the running I think has created more muscle. I"m pretty happy to be here. I'll be posting newer pics as soon as the move is final and I can sit at MY computer and not my dad's. Love you all. Thanks for all the support. Ana
