Gym Is Open (Monday)
It was my first time of doing my new routine that my trainer gave me on Saturday. It is tough.
I was late to the gym so I only did 20 minutes on the treadmill and 35 minutes of the strength training.
Ball crunch with weights
Ball knee bend
Ball Leg Lift
Ball Bridge
Ball Bridge Curl-in
Ball Oblique twist
Elbow raise with weights
Ball pec fly with ring between knees
Ball pullover (with bar)
stability disks bicep curls
stability disks upright row
Tricep dips off of bench
Ball squat with weights
leg curls.
Let me tell you that stability disk work is killer! But, should really improve my core strength.
I just got back from getting my synvisc shots in my knees, so they should start doing better!
What did you do to move your body today?

Kathy,
I'm not sure what the Bosc ball trainer thingie is, but these are actually like air cushions, made from the same stuff the balls are made from. They are about 14 inches across and 3 inches deep when filled with air. You put one under each foot and try to balance yourself while you lift weights. It is such a killer because it is so hard to stay upright!

Whoops, I meant the Bosu.

I assume this is the same thing you are using. I try to balance on one leg on that to work my leg strength. This is something that the PT had me do when I went to therapy after my back surgery.
The bosu things are cool. You can turn it over and do push-ups on it. Interesting to keep your body stable. And I see folks using them to do situps instead of the stability ball since they are more stable.
Cool things, eh?
Kathy
Kathy,
No mine is not like that. It has no stable surface.
here's a picture (my brand is Danskin though)
