Topic: What I learned at the OH Conference
I attended the obesity help conference this weekend and learned a lot about my journey. I think the most important thing I learned was that I have reached my goal and that I need to relax now and take care of being healthy rather than dropping the last 2 pounds that would make my bmi say I am normal. I took a bmr profile and discovered I am well within the normal range and then I met with Laurlyn Bellamy for a free one on one coaching. She allowed me to realize that most of my adult life has been dieting or just getting off a diet or just beginning a diet. Now that I am a size 8 (my goal) I need to relax and live in the moment of being and keeping healthy. This was a true enlightenment for me. Lauralyn likened my obsession of worrying about those last 2 pounds, that would make my bmi say normal, to empty nest syndrome. That if I didn't have that 2 pounds to obsess on then what would I do with myself. In order to prevent self sabbatoge (sp?) I now I need to enjoy this wonderful new figure and improved health. Oh and let me say this out loud...I'M AT GOAL!

Topic: Losing again....woohoo
Well it has been a week since my TT and I have been losing 1/2lb a day give or take some. The morning of my TT I weighed 153 and this morning I am 147.....I am sure it is a combination of all sorts of things. I am eating less and they did cut 6lbs of skin/fat off. From reading posts I am told that it take longer to see the initial weight cut off to show up on the scale or even the original weight for awhile due to swelling. I have my first p/o appt. tomorrow at noon.....WISH ME LUCK that I get my drains out. I hope everyone is doing wonderful and Happy re-birthday to all of the ones I have missed. HUGS...

One year ago today.......my life changed for the better and continues to change......
I no longer take any of my medications for high blood pressure, acide reflux. I can run up the stairs without being winded or my knees hurting! I now work out at least 3 times a week and actually enjoy it!!! I have gone down 6 sizes in my clothes, I have lost a total of 102 pounds.
I know that I will be around a long, long time to enjoy my 3 kids and my 2 grandkids!
Thank you to my wonderful surgeon and his staff for helping me on my WLS journey.

I was unable to read the email you sent me. We installed a spam blocker on the computer and it sometimes deletes things I want to read but doesn't give me a chance. I saw that you sent something then it was gone. If you could reply in a post that would work for me. Hope you're feeling good today.
