Topic: RE: Gall Bladder to be removed
Hi Dee Dee,
I had my RNY 05/14/04. I have gone from 278 to 162 - size 28 to 14P!
It has been an amazing year to say the least!
I had my gall bladder out last Mon 06/06/05. It was a nothing compared to what we have been through. I had laproscopic surgery by the same sugeon who did my RNY. I am a bit sore and tired but nothing too dramatic!
I have not been in touch with the 'group' @ OBHelp. I am going to try
to become involved. It really is important to talk with people who have had the experience.
Take care and Congratulations!

Hi Angie,
Do you have a Christopher Banks in your area? If so, they have great clothes and they are always having huge mark downs! Or, do you have a Kohl's department store? They have a huge selection of womens clothes as well.
Congratulations on your fantastic weight loss!

Topic: RE: One year visit...bad
Hi Jeannie.
I don't post very often but I'm a long time lurker. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I'm 5'1 and started @ 233 the day of surgery. I just had my 1 year appointment on June 8th and have only lost 68 pounds in a year - only 10 pounds since my last apt in January . I lost some weight before surgery so my total is 85 pounds since February 2004. I agree that these pounds are not coming back but you know what, we're not finished with this, we will get to where we want to be or at least very close to it. Best wishes and good luck
Sheryl

Hi Pam,
Sounds like you are doing very well as a post-op. Way to go!
I had considered NY & Co - I know a lot of people like the store, and the clothes seem really nice - but I wasn't sure what their sizes were. Sounds like I'll be able to check them out after all.
Thanks for the info!

Thanks, and congrats to you as well!
There are TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores in Phoenix, so I'll have to add those to the list to check out.
Thanks for the info!

HI Angie..,,
Isn't it fun!!! Do you have New York & Company in your area? They have really cute clothes, from 0-18, petites, reg & talls. Prices are really good, but if you signup on line they always email you 30% off coupons & others, plus they always have a clearance section.
I bought my first pair of WHITE capris there last year, just at this time. Was THRILLED to no end because they were a 16..... this spring bought the same pair capris again..... only in a size 6!!! who'd have ever thought.
Wishing you contiued success & lots of shopping fun!
Pam

Hi Angie. Let me start by saying congratulations on your weight loss.
I shop a lot at TJ Maxx and Marshalls and do very well there. Do they have those where you are? I have done very well there throughout my whole WLS journey. I find them to be resonably priced and the more I lose the better I can do in the clearance section.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy your trips.
