So glad to hear you are home and Miranda is doing so well. You must be so relieved.
Don't beat yourself up about the snacking. You had a right and a reason for it. You can worry about later when you have time to relax.
Try and rest when you can,
Maggie

Susan, I am sooooooo happy everything went ok with your daughter's suregery. I am so glad you guys made it through these tough times. Don't worry about the snacking, I am sure it was not too bad if you did not gain any weight. I wish you and your family best wishes.
Hugs,
Christine

We got back from Philly on Sunday night. Miranda came through the surgery VERY well and had very little pain. The morphine and the codeine really seemed to make things WORSE because they made her paranoid and crazy and she complained much more of pain while under the influence of either/both. When she got down to Tylenol alone, she was much more herself and didn't report much or any pain.
Her incision runs the full length of her spine, and she looks really really good. She's down to just steri-strips covering the incision and most of those are peeling a bit. I'm not sure how much correction they got, as the films I saw hadn't been officially measured, but she grew more than an inch as a result of surgery.
She's getting so much better each day now. She's up and down off the floor by herself, getting in and out of bed, and today I let her go to her best friend's house for a playdate. She won't be cleared for much more than indoor play and games for the next six weeks, but she's really just doing GREAT.
I spent most of the week snacking (BAD SUSAN) out of the most dreadful boredom you can imagine. I didn't gain any weight, for which I am grateful. I'm back home and glad to be back to my routine. I'm just so WORN OUT from the stress and the endless servitude to the little princess.
Thank you all so much for your prayers and your support. We are truly blessed to have so many people care about us and wish us well.
Big hugs,
Susan

Hey Tricia, Are you having this done all at once. If so wow your a trooper that is alot of work at 1 time. Have you discussed the pain management method your doc used. I like the pain pump cathader she had in my tummy that stayed in for 3 days feeding me pain meds. This helped terribly. I was virtually pain free.
Congrats to you and your surgery I know you will feel and look like a brand new person. This is exciting...

WOW!!! I can't believe you lost weight on the cruise. I would have gained, with all that good food. CONGRATS!! you did something right! I know, I am also 5'2, so I was so excited when I finally was normal. You'll be there in no time, seems like by next week, after your period is over. Keep it up! That's exciting
