Topic: New Name
Hi
I just wanted to post that I changed my profile name from Patricia G to Prpl Girl.
I went off track with my eating this holiday weekend, but got back on yesterday. I exercised and today I will go to the fitness center again. So Far today, I had 1 protein shake and 3/4 of an egg made as an omelet with spinach for a snack.
For lunch I am going to eat some BBQ baby back ribs. I have 3 ribs, so I will eat between 2 and 3 ribs. I am not sure how much meat is on there. Maybe 1 1/2 ounces of meat?
Does anybody know?
Anyway, my 4th of July was nice, saw some beautiful fireworks from my backyard, actually from 2 villages, it was nice. Hope everyone had a nice holiday!!!
ps...how's everyone else doing with their eating and exercise? How much more to goal? I still have 5 pounds..it's taking forever.

Sounds like you have a good attitude towards the situation. Even though it hurts now, it sounds like you know in the long run this is what is best for you and will make you happier.
I know you were having some chest pressure last week as well. Did you find out what was causing that or was it stress?
I'm sure great things are in store for you and are waiting just around the corner.

Jeannie.. ok .. now just stop right there .. you already know what is lacking in your regime .
The formula is simple :
High Protien + Water + Exersise = Weight Loss
Coupled along with good eating habits .
Here is what I think you should do .. it what I suggest all the time in the support group for those newly out .. and for those long term .
Go back to the day when it all started . Get your protein up to 100 grams.
Measure out your portions .. No eating and drinking together .. No water before your meals . ( 20 min at least ) Walk at least 30 min a day .
And get all of your water in at least 64 oz .
Look at what you are eating . See if it truly is pouch worthy .
Give it a try .. you gotta really want this .. and be ready to do all that is a part of this lifestyle.
Remember : IT IS A LIFESTYLE FOR LIFE !

I have not posted for a very long time. I'm sure no one remember's me. I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry to hear about your marriage ending. I can't imagine the stress you are under and have been going thru these few months.
You are a Beautiful Lady,I saw your picture's in your profile. You keep your head up. I will say a prayer for you. God will comfort you.
I don't know how you are going to handle the support group if your "friend" keeps going to the meetings and is seeing your Husband at the same time..

Topic: Really Discouraged!!
Hey guys...I could really use some encouragement!!
I just am not losing. I am not getting full, I am wanting to eat all the time. Well, actually, mostly from supper on. During the day I do great. But, from supper time on, I just stuff myself. Nothing like I use to, I have not gained anything...but, I know that I am eating too much.
I need some tips!! I know I should not. But, I do. I know I should walk, but, I haven't. I know I should do my protein, but I keep "forgetting". And, yes I drink my water.
So go ahead, blast me
encourage me
pity me
be nice to me
...just help me get back on track!!

Wondered where you were. You are in my prayers!!
Hang in there, sometimes this is the best way to go.
I divoriced my ex about 14 years ago...and that was the best decision I ever made. I should have made it years before that...and, like you said...it was a peace I had not had for years. That will be there...but, you will still feel rotten. You will make it though!!

I am so sorry I have not been around . I missed you all terribly . I wanted to share with you all as you have all been with me from the begining ...
I am getting a divorce . I have moved out of my house . I knew it was coming but did not think it would be this hurtful .
2 weeks ago I asked my husband for a divorce . I told him I just could not take the anger I had in me for him and that I just was not in love with him . We had been going to counseling and I really thought we could work things out .. but in a nut shell .. I am not the same roll over and take it girl . My weight loss has freed me from letting people walk over me .. abuse me ..
But here is the kicker .. I lead a support group here and my husband has made contact with one of the girls there that I thought was my friend . They are now dating .. imagine that .. she met me last Tuesday to : Break the news to me and wanted to know how I felt about it . I told her point blank that I could not be her friend if she dated him as there would be too many akward situations . She looked at me .. with tears in her eyes and said that she valued our friendship more than a relationship with my husband .. well that lasted all of a good farting spell .. before they where both on the phone talking again .
This was my blessing . And my gift from God . He gave me the light to see that he was no good for me and to stop feeling sorry for him .
So I am moving out of my house .. he is moving out and honestly .. my life is so sweet now .. so peacefull .
I had not been eating or sleeping but I am getting back to my good self .
I just miss all of you and could have really used a hug last week .
Thanks for always being there for me ..
I had a set back that is leading me to a GREAT BIG COMEBACK !

Topic: Happy belated 4th of July!!!!!!!!
Hey my May babies!!!!!!!!!! Happy 4th of July!!!!!!! I hope all are doing well. I ended up going to 2 parties and did very well with my food. At the first one I just had some fruit and raw veggies. The second one was at my mom's house. She cooked for an army and it was only my family and herself. I had a little piece of steak and some salad and I had to get up from the table because I wanted to more. I did not want to sit at the table and watch everyone else stuff their faces. It was challenging but worth the effort. Let me know how your holiday went!!!!!!!!!
