Topic: out of control again! Please help!!
I was doing good until I got preggers last year. I only gained 8 pounds with him and now 6 months later I have gained another 8. I am tired all the time. I do have low iron and am taking two pills aday but I just want to sleep all day long. I know I shouldn't eat when I am not hungery but for some reason I can't stop myself. I can't afford to join a gym and it hasn't been that nice here to walk. Oh it has been warm enough it just rains about every other day it seems. When we do go for a walk it is just around the block. I don't have a car to go to the mall or a park. I am a stay at home mom. If it wasn't for my 13 year old, I wonder what I would do because she help me so much with the baby boy. Does anyone know how I can check my pouch and get back on track and lose more weight. I am at 157 and in a size 14/16. I hate it!! Please help if you can. Thanks.

Hey all,
Much to my surprise yesterday was my 4 year anniversary! The day would have passed completely unnoticed had it not been for the congratulatory email I received from OH.com. After WLS I was at 155 and size 10 (down from 272 and a size 26) and I am happy to report the scale was at 157 this morning. But let me tell you, it has been a FIGHT, literally a mental sparring with myself about will power. My inner fat girl is ever present and more than willing to help console me in the manner in which she did for 35 years! I have always been an emotional eater, in that anytime I would experience any emotion, be it joy, sadness, whatever...I would eat!
When I looked at my Christmas pictures from a few months ago I began to see glimpses of my former self and it horrified me and spurred me into action. I get such a kick out of people that say we took the easy way out. Clearly none of them have ever experienced a 2 hour dumping session after having "just a couple of bites" of the forbidden fruit or had their innards rearranged. It has taken constant dilligence to keep the weight off contrary to what the majority of people think.
If I eat like my former self, I will inevitable look like my former self. It's all about choices and today I choose my health, happiness and time with my family that I otherwise would be running short on. I wish everyone continued success YOU DESERVE IT!!!

My baby boy is 6 months old and has no problem gaining weight. He is also doing fomula off and on due to my milk not coming in right. I am taking reglan to produce milk still. There is alot of women on the preggie post op board that nurse and seem to be doing just fine with it. They may beable to answer better than I can. I do take two "dots" of b12 daily. They dissolve in your mouth, I get them at walmart. Tht might help as well.

Nice to see someone posting here! I just had my 4 yr surgiversary on May 3. Down 160 pounds and maintaining! Congratulations on your success!!!

Hello. I have had 2 babies since my bypass in 2004. Both of them have dealt with failure to thrive. My 2nd is almost 9 wks and has only gained 1lb 3ozs since birth. Well, in my research i found that case reports have shown a tendency of failure to thrive in infants of bypass patients. Is anyone else experiencing this? My B12 WAS 100 which is the EXTREME low end of normal. I recieved an injection today to see if this boosts her weight gain.

Congrats! I too went from a 26 to 14. I still want to lose more but am happy that I haven't gained too much back.

hi everyone i had my surgery on may 19th of 2004 and dr caruanna did the surgery i am very happy how the results of the surgery was i am down to 183 pounds and i feel great and look great gailwinship
