Try checking on Obesity Helps "Plastick Surgery Forum's Message Board" Here's the link http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/plasticsurgery/posts
You also might want to check out the WLS Grads Message Board. Its for those who are 1 year + out. You'll find alot of good folks there. Quite a few of the folks from the May 04 board (like myself) have migrated to the Grads board. here's the link

Lisa, you look MAHHHHHHVELOUS dahling! If Andrew wasn't such a source of pride for you, I'd tell you not to go telling ppl you have a 22 year old son; people are going to think you got pregnant when you were 11. You were gorgeous pre-op, but now you're gorgeous and happy-looking too!
Way to go on working your WLS and being such a success! Going to the gym 4 times a week is a much better measure of success than the stupid ole scale, in my book. You are a stellar role model for all of us.
Hugs,
Susan
PS Sorry about leering at your little boy-he sure does look FINE!

Susan
Topic: RE: Help! With Snacking!!!
Hey I have snacking probs also. I love beef jerky that is high in protien and QT has the best. So I buy those so I know I am getting protien and drink alot of water with them. So a few bites fill me and the water keeps the sodium drained and I get protien. I dont gain weight and I feel good in the end...

Best wishes and blessings to everyone on the May message board. Although I do not post all the time I do take the time to visit the board al least once per week to keep up with everything thats going on. This message board is the only thing that educated and informed me about the great journey called wls. I was not recommended this by any doctor and everything I learned and researched came from this board. I have lost 122 lbs. and feel like I could have lost a bit more - but hey I am not complaining. I can keep up with my job and work out in the gym 4 times per week. This surgery changed my life and I really enjoy watching what it has done for my son Andrew. I did not want him to go through his adult life standing in the background and accepting less than he deserves as so many of us overweight folks have to do. We all know what it is like to put on the show and act happy while we are treated less than we deserve. The surgery has evened out the playing field!!! All people regardless of their size are beautiful - but the world does not see it that way.

Hi everyone on the May 2004 message board. Although I do not post much I sure do keep up with everything thats going on. I am now 22 years old and had my surgery on May 13th 2004 with Dr. Williams in Atlanta. My mom Lisa Solis had her surgery in the same place on the same day. I have lost 156 lbs. and my life is so much better that it ever was before. I would like to encourage all young people to check out this surgery if you have a weight problem that you just cannot overcome. I went from sitting in the house to having a great job and a social life.
