Dear Allison, I love your name! My daugher is named Allison!! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am in the same boat as you as far as the weight goes! I stay right around 190 give or take a couple of pounds. I feel really good but I want to lose at least another 20 pounds and I will be thrilled. I too have a bit of a problem with snacking and I don't get all my protein in all the time, but the biggest culprit is not exercising! I just can't seem to make myself do it!! But I have to commend you, you really fought back against the odds and you came out a winner!! I just KNOW you will win at the weight thing too. Just keep to the basics like was suggested and I'm sure you'll do great! If you would like to commiserate with me, I'd love to hear from you!! I hardly ever get on the board anymore-never seems to be enough time, plus I'm having problems with my daughter's sleeping. I also started smoking again and am trying hard to quit again. I didn't smoke for 7 years and started again! It seemed the best way to cope with the stress I was going through. Dumb, I know. Anyway, I would love to hear from you and share any tips or secrets you might have for kick starting our weight loss again. Take care Allison and God bless you!!
Topic: Hello Everyone!!
Hi All! I haven't posted in ages and ages, and I hardly ever read the board anymore either. Is anyone else out there stuck? I have lost 140 pounds and I feel and look great, but I am just stuck! I'm not gaining, so I'm not worried about that, but I'm not losing either. I can wear stuff from size 18 on down to a 14, depending on how they're made. I'm not UNhappy where I'm at, but I'm not real happy either. I'm watching what I'm eating, trying to keep the snacks and junk out or at least substitute healthy alternatives. I drink lots of water and beverages, NO pop! I don't always get all my protein in and I know that is a big factor. And exercise-that dreaded, nasty word. I just can't seem to make myself exercise, no matter how hard I try! Does anyone have some good advice for me to get me motivated? I need to get a new picture too, this one is so out of date. Please be firm with me, but don't yell!! Thanks!!

Welcome back Allison,
You have a lot on your plate, but I really admire your stepping up and taking the "bull by the horns"... its a helluva ride, but you can do it. We're all here to help any way we can.
Cutting out the snacking is really a good , big step. Try getting back to the basics, you know the drill PROTEIN, PROTEIN, PROTEIN, veggie, fruit, tiny bit of carbs; and tons of water and other s/f liquids.
I wish you much success. Welcome home.
Pam

Good to see you back sweetie, I am so sorry for all you were going through. I hope things are getting better. As for jump starting you back, I am not sure what really works. I would try maybe doing a few days of liquid or mushy foods, just like post op. Lots of water and lots of protein, and walk as much as you can. That is what I would try. Alot of us May babies have not posted alot lately, so dont be too surprised if you dont see alot of familiar faces very often. I have been bad at not posting myself. I am just so tired all the time, and it takes everything I have just to keep up with the house and family. I have gained 11 lbs so far, and a little depressed over that, but know it was needed for the baby. I hope you can find your way back on the road to losing. Take care sweetie- Melissa

Jeans! Jeans! Jeans! and More Jeans. I am down to a size 2. I have always loved jeans especially when I was younger. Now I can wear all the hip new styles. I wear them with everything, boots, high heels...you name it. God wiling I will celebrate my 45th birthday September 19. Wearing my jeans makes me feel young. I love creating my own look and style depending on the event, whether it be work play or shopping. I also enjoy wearing cute spaghetti strap tops with shrugs. This can be a really sexy look with out exposing too much especially at work..

Hey Nat,
Congrats on all your success. That's a great question too.
I too enjoy my low rise pants. But, I would have to say my favorite things are wearing heels all day and not having any pain in my feet. I also enjoy wearing halters. I know folks think I was addicted to bikinis over the summer, but I lived at the pool everyday so that's what I was wearing for pics.
I have new pics up as well. I'm still waiting for plastics. I'm hoping to get my boobs and legs done.

I posted this some time back and people had fun so thought would try agian. I also added a few more for me...
Okay now that you have had surgery what is your new love.
Now that your in the new you what have you found to be something your doing now that you would never do. Or wearing that you forgot you could wear.
For me I am in love with Garders and thigh highs. Natalie has gone out of control. I stopped buying lingure(sp?) years ago. I just didnt look good in it and found no reason. I decided to just go gung ho and try something on. Then I said hey lets not just get lingure but something sexy. Hmmm can it be so. Can I be sexy? Yup come to find out... I can... So Fredrick's of Hollywood and Victy's have been loving me lately.
**IN ADDITION**UPDATE**
Also since the TT I am living for hip huggers. They are great and I love the way they look. I am loving wearing heels also with no problem anymore.
Lets hear it shout it out...

Allright well long story but I am back I had arm surgery for the zillionth time in Oct. and 7 months later after the Lortab, Tylox and Oxycontin from the dr. I found myself in a 28 day rehab....so here I am back and better than ever.....What a mess I believe alot had to do with well one the ongoing arm pain but the substitution of food was no longer a comfort and the Lortab was...so I am working on my personal life, my marriage and my career...all the while so stuck I haven't lost wgt. in awhile started smoking again after 4 years and am almost quit with that...so I need to get back in gear I am in a 14 or 16 at about 195 feel good but really want to get at least 25 more off and need my ladies to help me with that. I am very sorry for not coming back sooner or filling you in but I have been trying to get things together so I could handle it all..thanks for listening and I so missed each and every one of you...how is everyone doing please fill me in and any suggestions on the kick start of the wgt. loss would be great right now i do a shake in the moring a bar for snack soup and apple at lunch and then protein etc at dinner i think my big problem is lack of consistent excersize and snacking..or the ice cream in the evening although sugar free i think i really need to kick start things again..oh how i missed you guys....

Topic: RE: Could use some advice...
Hi Pam,
THANK YOU SO MUCH for responding... I did call Kaiser yesterday... they are having me go in to see one of the PA's today at 1:00... they think it may be a kink in the intestines... and will be doing a CT scan and whatever else they feel like doing, I guess... I SO HATE going to the Dr.'s.... especially since I'm a big ole scaredy cat... and I'm just really not looking forward to it... I haven't had any pain today...just some discomfort that almost just feels like I have to have a bowel movement... and I haven't eaten anything today either... so I think maybe that is helping... I'll post later, when I get back from the Dr.'s...
THANKS for your compliment... and for calling my butt "little"... gotta love ya for that!! LOL
Thanks again... and you keep up your great work too!! YOU LOOK MAH-VE-LOUS!!
Aloha,
Loree
