Tricia, thank you for the compliment. I am so excited for you!!!!!! your plastics is just wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope everything goes very smooth for you! I have my consult tomorrow, but am most likely going to Brazil for my PS. May I ask how much you are paying for everything? I too want the boobs, thighs, TT..but but it is just expensive here. So this is why I am going tomorrow to get a rough idea of the cost. My pic is new. This is what I look like now. It should be on my profile also. the only problem is they cut my hair off in the pic. lol Are there any of the old regulars still around? I hang out on the light-weight board mostly. They are very active. Please keep me posted on your surgeries, and I wish you the very best! Brenda

I just have to start off by saying that you are so pretty!! You need to have an updated picture on your profile. Anyway, I have been very busy too, maybe only coming online twice a week or so. Life is so GREAT!!! I wish I could get down to 120lbs..wow! But maybe after reconstructive surgery I will be able to. I am scheduled in 3 weeks, nov.15th, for a breast reduction, lift, hernia repair, LBL (with tummy tuck) and medial thigh lift with lipo to the knee area. (I know it's alot at once, but I have a fabulous doctor and I might as well get all the pain over and done with once). I am excited but so nervous now. Tricia

Jen . Well ... I am 5.7 I started out at 307 .. X says I started at 310 ..who knows .. My clothing size when I started was 26 today I am a size 4 and 135 pounds . The struggle I have is to keep weight on . And for the most part the weightloss has slowed .. Thank Goodness !!! I do mentor people in my community . I lead a support group here and find that many restart their weightloss by keeping to High Protein .. Low Carb diets . I follow South Beach and it works for me . I have 2 different picture trails on my profile . If you go to the very top of my profile - I list 2 links . I have tons of before and after photos . Please feel free to look at them . I still keep my protein levels high.. and always do my water .. very important when trying to up the weightloss . Best of luck to you .. glad to see you posting . Hugs, Natalie

Topic: RE: Strange lab results...help
I've been thinking about your situation. Did you settle on waiting the 6 months with your doctor? I think I'd fight for getting more labs drawn; the fatigue disturbs me, and B12 deficiency can be so devastating (permanent nerve damage, etc). I'd rather be a whiny obnoxious patient labeled as a hypochondriac than be sweet and patient and ultimately very sick. Do update when you get more news, please? Hugs, Susan

Hey Jen, I started at the same weight as you and originally set my goal around the same. I have been to 149 and that's it. I'm happy where I am, but wouldn't mind losing a few more. I'm totally bottom heavy and 5'6". I've been to two plastic surgereons and both said same thing. In order for me to get the skin on my legs right I'd have to have the long incision down to my knees and they just aren't bad enough for that trade off. I am hoping to get the girls lifted back in place if we ever have the money. I have TONS of pictures on my picture trail. Good luck on the rest of your journey. It looks like you've done great so far. Christie

Thanks Tricia I really enjoyed reading your profile. You have done so well. It is funny how we all kinda travel along the same path with plateaus, depression, excitement and self confidence. Thanks again Jen

Can I join the carb club too?!?! I've been maintaining my weight loss but I'm sure if I would nip the carbs in the but even a little bit I'd probably lose some more weight. I've become a pretty good grazer. PUT ME OUT TO PASTURE I graze so much. The old habits are creeping back. Can we talk about coffee? Wholey crap I'm now drinking 4shot grande lattes (I justify it by thinking i'm getting my milk intake with it however-----ZING). I'm pretty sure I could start a StarBucks in my basement and I could be my own best customer;) Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. You guys are great!! PennyB

Topic: RE: Tummy Tuckers help!
HI Lisa, Well, I haven't had a TT, but do have some info. Just last night I went to my Dr support group and this was the topic. The main suggestion is "back up back up back up". Do you get any rashes, etc? Take pictures, call your dr for ever little mark that pops up, keep receipts for every cream or ointment you need to use. Keep a diary noting things like pain in back, how skin folds up under you, it pinches, etc. They emphasized this is the type of thing that helps get a TT approved.... of couse, they do NOT call it a TT, but a "panellectomy" (sp?). It is VERY important that whatever Dr you go to specializes in Bariatic patients. Yes, we are different than other PS patients, and they know how to word things for the insurance and get better approval rates. Hope this helps a bit. Regards, Pam rny 5/13/04 268/155 maintaining
