Hiya Jeannie and thank you for your sweet words! It truely is amazing how much better we feel about ourselves. I look in the mirror in true awe at how i've changed. Congrats on your loss!!! You said you're being bad with eating.... sweetie dont do that to yourself! Its soooo important to stick to the rules of eating. I truely believe thats the fastest way to undo this blessing we've been given. I do not exercise. My surgeon said to me last Thursday that I am proof you can do this by diet alone. I've lost 110 lbs in 9 months. I try so hard to stick to my grilled chicken and veggies. When I do stray with a snack or something its very small, like maybe 3 mini pretzels. For me its all a mind thing. I dont need the extra food, just the mind wants it. I always try to recite in my head that I eat to live, I DO NOT LIVE TO EAT. Breaking the food demons is very hard. Its just something we have to do. I'll keep you in my prayers! God bless! Melanie

Thanks for the kudos, Nat! You're doing great too!!! You are such a pretty lady. Its amazing the difference in your photos. I may have to wait on the PS too. If insurance wont cover it i'll have to work 5 jobs or rob a bank to pay for it lol. Who knows how long that could take. God bless! Melanie 6 lbs to goal!!!

WOOO HOOO Congratulations Michelle! Isnt that the greatest feeling in the world to break into the 100's. Man did I ever dance the jig. Now I celebrate every time I enter the next set of 10's lol. I have this whole little ritual I do before weighing. I always say a prayer and thank Jesus for every single ounce i've lost and tell him how thankful I am for this blessing. Then, as i'm creeping up on the scale, i'm saying in my head "NO GAINS ONLY LOSES". LOL man i'm certifiable!!! Sure, it doesnt help, but it makes me feel better lmao. Congrats again hon! You're doing wonderfully! God bless! Melanie

Topic: RE: Carb Count--how much??
Hiya Toots! Being a former Atkins dieter, i've always struggled with the whole carb concept. I'm still afraid of carbs. My meals are most always chicken and when the fullness starts to show I eat a few bites of veggies just for good measure. My veggie selections were either green beans or turnip greens, both very low carb. My dietician kinda scolded me at my 6 month post op visit and said I needed more carbs. She made me agree to eat 2 tablespoons of corn once a day. I half way keep my end of the bargain.... I eat a fork or two full and call it quits. I'm very strict on myself. Its a mental thing i'm sure. But I just feel like if I start adding carbs/fat/calories, i'm going to make myself fat again. Lord knows thats the last thing I want. I know... someone here is bound to tell me to seek therapy lol. I do, maybe once a week, get a baked potato and have two or three small bites. Makes me feel satisfied. I still dont venture into pasta. It has soooo many carbs and theres the whole expansion issue. I hope I havent royally confused you lol. When all else fails... contact your dietician. Best of luck to you hon and God bless! Melanie 6lbs to goal!!!

Topic: Carb Count--how much??
I have received conflicting information regarding the number of carbs one is to consume in a day. It has ranged from as low as 20 to way up to 100. Protein bars and shakes must contain a certain number of carbs plus our vegetables etc. What is the amount we should stay within? Yes, I know the protein and water goes first. Is any bread acceptable? 1 slice? Any type of noodle in soup? A small potato? I would love to have some people post their actual meals for the entire day whi*****ludes their carb count. Thanks guys! Tootsie

I really enjoy navigating what would have been impossible a year ago. I always choose the tiny bathroom stall at the end and then I think about how roomy it is, LOL. I still cross my arms over my chest when I run and that's funny because I have NO tits anymore.
