Saw this on the CT board and it's fun: somebody starts with how much weight they've lost, and the next person adds their weight loss to make a new total, and so on and so on. Wanna see how much the May Babes have lost so far? I'll go first: 98 lb (from consultation -- but hey, I lost it so I get to count it, right?). Hey buddy!!! I will be looking to see what you have for dinner. LOL B skipped (bad girl) L 1 cup of taco salad D 2 cups of homemade beef veggie soup. ( I put 2 cups but I won't eat that much at one time. I will have 1 cup later. Just trying to get protein in. LOL Gotta find better snacks, I am getting in WAY to many carbs. As I read, I see that these are not uncommon practices used with autistic people- things like force-feeding and use of so-called "aversives" is apparently a hot legal topic. The fact that this is a current hot topic will hopefully empower you and your son. If you are unable to find free legal help, and you think it would not be harmful to your son to do so, you might contact local media. Even if you aren't eager to do that, you can always threaten to do so when you meet with the school. Am I right that they are using this meeting as an excuse for an IEP??? That sounds a bit suspicious to me right now, because it sounds like a way to make it part of your SON'S "problem" and not a meeting specifically to address this TEACHER'S problem. GRRRRRR.
