Lyn oh my gosh thank you!! I will definitely have to look into that. Actually both, Ill ask my DR about the gas x. As for the milk, I do notice mostly when I drink too much carb countdown choc milk in one day my stomach girlgles alot and it is so loud it sounds like it is coming out of my mouth. My husband knows im not feeling to well when it makes those noises. Ive never been lactose intolerate, but maybe since the surgery it could be that. It would make sence with all the dairy Im trying to get in for protein and calcium. Is this something we have to figure out ourselves, or is there a test the Dr can do to see if that is what is causing all this pain? Thankyou so much again you are an angel, I wouldve never came up with that, and it makes so much sence now- Melissa

My surgeon recommends Gax-X. But since you are expecting, you need to check with your doc. Could you be lactose intolerate? Sometimes we are after surgery. I know if I drink too much milk at any one time, I have problems with feeling icky. Just a thought.

I am also not losing. So today I'm back to the basics. I'm doing 2 days of mainly protein shakes with one sensible meal. Then on Monday, back to 3 meals, mainly protein - about 3-4 oz, and 3 milk snacks. Nothing more excep****er. I wonder if part of the problem is also, that we are all fairly close to goal and feel we can cheat some now. I know that's been a problem for me. Remember, just because you CAN eat a normal size portion, doesn't mean you SHOULD! Hard to remember that, isn't it? My surgeon also says that women in particular, tend to plateau around 100 pounds. We just need to remember how big we were when we began this journey and how far we've come. Try not to be too hard on ourselves and get back to the program. Exercise is a HUGE problem for me right now. I hate it. But I'm going down soon and get on the treadmill. UGH. But I really want to get to my goal. It's in sight and attainable. Keep to the program like we did in the beginning. It's all in our heads. We control our own destiny. We were given a great tool but it's ultimately up to us how we use it. Lyn 262/158/142

Ok first off I need some info from anyone. I have real bad gas. I know its gas cuz eventually it finds its way out, but it seems to stay in me all the time!!! I have bad cramps in my side and in my lower belly. Im tired of being in pain!! I know it isnt the baby because I got all checked out and everything is fine. So what in the world am I eating or doing to get all this pain?!?!?! Also do you guys know if it is safe to take antacids? Im going to call my surgeon monday to find out for sure but was wondering if anyone wlse was givin the ok to take them. It hurts to walk and sit the pain is becoming unbearable. I think the baby is too little along to be causing the gas, but could be wrong not sure yet. Any info would help. Ok now for what I ate today. Im almost to the point were I dont want to eat because of all this gas pain. B- 1/2 cup shredded wheat with 1/2 cup milk- I was hoping it would help me move my bowels to get some of this pain away L- protein drink S- 2 peices of string cheese D- not sure yet it might be left over spaghettie I will post later for sure what I eat for dinner- Melissa

Sandra- REmember we are all losing slowly now. I havnet lost any weight for about a month now and it drives me crazy. I know I am different now being pregnant and will more than likely not lose anymore till after the baby, but I see alot of ppl who are at a stand still. Some days I think I eat way too much, then others very little. I notice when I do eat, that I seem to eat normal size meals also. Just keep trying, and dont get down about it. I too am not a big exerciser, and cant wait for warmer weather to go swimming. That is where I get alot of my exercise or at least I did last summer.- Melissa

Jeannie, I can't tolerate steak or any dry meats. The wierd thing, I can't eat any jarred spaghetti sauces. Home made sauces are fine, but nothing from a jar. I also found that rice does not set well with me either.
