Monday was pretty good . I went to Va Beach this weekend and met some of the people from the VA board . OMG we had so much fun. So many success stories . Any hoo .. I just got back from walking 3 miles .. feel great ! Here is my day in a nutty shell.. B- Nectar 9:30 snack - Yogurt - Lite 85 Strawberry L - Tried one of those South Beach Diet meals .. Yuk .. double Yuk .. they where loaded with so much sodium I was scared to eat it all . 1300 grams .. You gotta watch the salt too . ( going to post later on this ) D-Fillet with greenbeans and some red potatoes .. I have not eaten yet but it is cookin . Another Nectar before bed . And maybe a healthy cheesy snack . I missed my salad today .. I love salad too .. It goes down so good . Well .. to Tuesday we go . Huggles , Natalie

Alrighty then, Walking a 20k on Saturday kinda got me back in the saddle, so I'm pretty happy with the day thus far... B: Protein shake S: Protien shake (opps, forgot my real snack at home) L: Tossed salad with 2oz grilled chx. S: Handful of trail mix Dinner will prob'ly be another salad with chicken. Hmmm lets see what this looks like typed in, lol. I think I did really bad. B- 1 pkg maple brown sugar oatmeal L- S/f peanut butter and jelly sandwich S- 1 banana with a carbcountdown strawberry yogurt D- OK I let my self control go here. I know it is bad. I had 8 jalepeno poppers, the cream cheese filled ones. I am going to have a protein drink later this evening. Well now I see how horrible I did today, dont shoot me please. I will do better tomorrow- Melissa

Hello everyone I peeped in last night but no time to respond...now i am at work so i got time..geez thats bad... Not bad over the weekend i had a tummy thing so not too much at all...exept those damn blastin sf jelly beans..after the stomach thing those were the last thing i should hve put in my mouth last night...goodness sore toushy..anyway here goes.. and have a great week.. B - Protein shake coffee,splenda and creamer (vanilla caramal) S- Protein bar L - Chicken and veggie soup (cup) and 4 strawberrys mixed in sf yogurt D - Chef salad with ham,turkey,cheese,bacon and olives with ranch dressing me and my little one 3yr abby love salad so we are sharing i will probably have a cup or little more salad sits well with me...so everyone cheer up its monday, we have our health, and each other...love you may babies and talk to you soon!!!!! I gotta get my new pic on here..i will work on that this week!!

Hi Betty, Congrats, you have done wonderful! I know it is hard not to compare youself to others, but it can/will make you crazy. You have been hold for a few months now so it does sound like a definite "stall", but that doesn't mean it's forever. Have you called your Dr/nutritionist? They may ask you things, we wouldn't think of that would uncover the reason for your stall. I think the pat around here answer would be "up the protein & water"... but you have said you have done that. Sorry I don't have any better suggestions! Wishing you continued success. Pam

Well I haven't posted for a while...so here goes. I am four days short of 10 months post op.... and I'm am totally stuck at -107 pounds. Now while I am ecstatic with that weight loss; I have been at -107 since the beginning of December....UGH...UGH...UGH... I have upped my protein in take; I have been religious with my water consumption; I walk a lot; and even do a walking exercise video 3 days a week; but the scale just stays in the same spot. IT IS SO FRUSTRATING... especially when I talk to other people who had their surgery 3 and 4 months after me and have lost up to or more than 40 pounds more than me. Does anyone have any suggestions; .... I really need some Betty Myers OPEN RNY 5/25/04 -107 pounds

Laura, Why do you think you will never get to a normal bMI or otherwise? You will get there!!! I know you will, just keep working at it. Make sure you eat 3 meals a day (2-3 oz of protein, with a veggie, and a fruit if possible) at each meal, and try to get in 1 protein snack a day. Exercise at least 30 minutes (walking is best, and now it's getting nice outside). You do not have to kill yourself, just move and the weight will come off. I still have another 10 pounds to go to get into that normal window BMI, and have 18 pounds to my doctor's goal. I know that the weight loss is very slow now, but I am not going to get discouraged, I am going to work my BUTT off!!! I am using my tool as best I can. I want to be normal, some day, and my doctor says by July I should be able to get there. I think you can get to your goal, or close to it by August or so if you really work at it, not binge at all, and no junk food. Keep the carbs away!!! Try to get a better attitude, it can help you! Trust me. Tricia
