... just sore as hell so I won't be on long. They did it outpatient but I stayed at a motel lastnight just in case something went wrong. I'm hopped up on painkillers so I am gonna go be a couch potato. Love you all Monica

I'm with Donna. I weigh almost every day. I'm terrified I will gain and not realize it. I don't seem to have any concept of what my body is doing right now. I don't get nuts about not losing. I'm pretty stuck right now but not stressing out over it. If I could lose another 15 I'd be really happy. But if not, I'm happy here. I can walk into any store and buy clothes that fit. I look good and generally feel good. That's what counts, not the cursed number on the scale!

Hi Sara, I don't know about you, but if I didn't weigh myself every day I could gain 5 pounds (or more) without realizing it. At this point in my life I don't know if I'll ever stop needing the scale just as a meter to help me watch myself. Do what feels right for you! Donna PS Congratulations -- you look great!

Sara I used to only weigh myself at two week intervals. It seemed like a happy median between the once a month camp and the daily camp thoughts on the subject. But now that I'm 10 months out, I usually weigh myself once a week now. Mostly because smaller amounts seems to be "bigger" now. It makes thing easy on one hand because Sunday I weight myself like clock work. But it's hard when I might only lose a pound or two instead of the 5 or so earlier on. Or worse yet no loss or even a slight gain. Which can happen depending on the water weight, etc. My advice do what's best for you and find a time frame that works for you. Your nutritionist is giving you guidance not laws to follow. Just be careful and don't get into weighing yourself all the time because that will drive you nuts too.

Jeannie , I have been using it since the 3rd month and I love it . I am ashamed that I have not shared this with you all by now . It is great and what is nice is you can add other foods that you eat . I track my protein and carbs by using it .. and you can track your exersise .. If anyone here has not used it .. it is great and it is FREE . Take care , Natalie

Its just a little over 10 months for me and I've been at goal for about 6 weeks. I see a nutrionist and she wants me to wait a month in between weighing myself. I see her about once a month and the only weighing would be at her office or when I see another doctor. Its been three weeks now and I'm convinced thats the lousiest idea on the planet. I'm going nuts convincing myself that I'm getting fat again. The nutrionist has generally guided me in very comfortable ways. I'm curious, how often and under what cir****tances does everyone weigh themselves? Sara 258/129 RNY

Ok here is what I ate today, and then I have a question B- cheese and peanut butter crackers, 1/4 cup cottage cheese L- protein drink S- 2 string cheeses D- 1 hotdog on a peice of bread with chili, 1/2 cup of mac n cheese, 5 large spoonfuls of green beans, I also added another hotdog to my mac and cheese all cut up. Bad dinner day for me Now my question is does anyone know how much of our food we absorb if we drink afterwards? I know we are supposed to wait a half hour after we eat. Im having a problem with that now for some reason. I drink all day lots of water, but now after I eat I get real naushous lol I spelled that wrong. Anyways I feel like Im going to hurl and I fel this horrible urge to drin**** water. When I drin**** water after the feeling goes away. It has been happening for 2 days now, I dont want to not follow the rules, but I dont want to lose the little food I get in a day. NOt sure if this has to do with me being pregnant and that UTI I had or what. They said I was dehydrated at the hospital too on monday, and I just cant see how I drink all day, from protein drink to lots of water to crystal lite orange, and crystal lite tea. Any ideas from you guys? I hope I am not washing all mynutrients out from foods. I am going to talk to my surgeon and my ob tommorrow also. OH and I lost 1 lb. yeah!!! Melissa 298/185/130
