Topic: What a Year
Hi Everyone. well it really has been an exciting and life changing time.when i think back to the first few months after surgery i could never
of imagined how i would of felt today. Back then one time i thought "what the heck have i done to myself " the depression was really bad and eating anything was a struggle, but but as time went on and i ajusted to my new life things just got better and better. each day was a different experience a different way of looking at things and i can honestly say that today iam at such peace with myself and the way i feel and look. For the first time in my life. So all the early struggles are so worth the out come, iam so healthy its, to be able to get dressed for work every morning and not cry because what ever i put on looked horrible at 278lbs my breathing scared everyone it was so heavy, now at 138lbs i slip into an outfit look in the mirror and say OK MAMMA your good to go i dash out to the car feeling like a bird. my whole body language has changed and i have a whole lot of breath I thank God every day for this surgery and allowing me to have a second chance on
life and the joy of being a woman. P.S. One bad thing iam ADDICTED to
SHOPPING Maggie.

WOW!!! You are doing amazing. My goal is also 130, and I seem to be stuck at 145 right now. I can't wait to get below 140. Hopefully by next month. I want to get to goal so bad, yet I don't mind having a slow loss right now. I feel great and that's what matters! You're doing something right!! That's for sure Keep it up.

Thank you so much! I think you are doing great!!! Keep up the good work! BTW...I think my meeting went really well. It was hard, I get so emotional (because it's my dad). I had scheduled an hour meeting and it lasted for 3 hours. I hope something good will come out of it!

Topic: RE: I need some help .
Hi Angi,
Hey, we all have been there. I have just started losing again, after not losing anything since October!! Ughhhhhh!!!!!!
Just a couple of suggestions....
Exercise!!!! I have started walking again...a half hour every day...it took about three weeks, but, the pounds started coming off again. Walking is easy...if you like something else better...do it. It really helps!
Food!!!! You know, I know, we have all probably been eating stuff we shouldn't. So stop right now. (ha...easier said than done!!!) But, that is sooooooo important.
Protein!!!! Get that protein in!! I have been using Beneprotein...2 1/2 scoops a day, since I started walking again. I really think that has helped.
Water!!!! Oh, yeah...feel like you are a sponge...and soak up tha****er.
Good luck. Maybe, I will reread this, and send it to myself...sounds like good advice!!!!!

Topic: RE: DO NOT COMPRIMISE YOUR TEETH
I don't know if your dentist told you this - mine warned me as a pre-op about calcium being depleted from my teeth and bones if I didn't get in my calcium. YIKES!!!! Scared the bejesus out of me.
I know post-ops that didn't follow up with calcium at all or ones that used something else besided calcium-citrate and they wound up with cavities, root canals and extractions. My dentist, my surgeon and my nutritionist all said calcium-citrate is the ONLY way to go. I know other doctors don't worry about the type of calcium. For me, I'm not trusting my teeth and bones to calcium-carbonate (TUMS), etc.
Topic: RE: TUESDAY'S EAT'S!!
OOps!! I posted what did you eat monday and baby update instead of saying tuesday, lol. I am so out of it. I just copied what I posted earlier today for tuesday but wrote monday, lol.
OK baby is doing great!!! I am due the 13th of November, LOL my poor sons birthday, however I will have my csection probably the 1st week of november. I am having a c section because my first born was emergency c section and it is best to have a c section after a c section instead of vaginal. I was told he wants me to at least gain 20lbs if possible!!!! This means I will be over that horrible 200lb mark again!!!! I am not real happy with this but I will manage, I just pray that I can lose it again. I had 9 vials of blood drawn to make sure I am up to par on all my nutrients being a GBS patient. I will know moreon those results in about a week. He will do this every visit!!! my poor arm, lol. In July he will do another U/S and should be able to tell if it is a boy or a girl, and make me a cd of the U/S to keep. I can email it or play with it on the computer, that should be really neat. Ok now as for my food. Here we go
B- protein drink
L- wendys jr cheeseburger deluxe with about 5 fries
S- protein bar
D- left over deer steak from grill and 5 olives
