Topic: RE: Good Protein Drinks?
The best advise would be to go to one of the websites like vitalady.com and order yourself a bunch of samples. I have always used the Zero Carb Isopure in creamy vanilla as the base of my shakes. I add a little banana & or a little peanut butter...maybe a little splenda....ice...etc... I also use the Low Carb Isopure in chocolate. I just got an order of samples from vitalady and I will let you know more after I try them all. Good luck in your search.... Julie S. 265/153.5/135 5'3 TT in Aug

Vanilla and Chocolate Unjury I like - but not the unflavored. Isopure Strawberry & Cream - It tastes like Strawberry Quick to me.

Them fries are gonna get ya, lol. What is this with GBS patients and back pain? My back has been killing me today, and it is my upper back which is weird, since my lower back is what usually hurts, when I get my back pain though my chest hurts too. Harry says I probably slept wrong or on it funny. Talk to you later sweetie- Melissa

ready to fuss at me again?? I actually thought I was doing good until I went to fitday. OMG!!! Terrible!!! B skipped. Slept in again. L 1\2 ham and swiss cheese sandwhich, 3 fries D 2 breaded but baked fish fillets on low carb bread, 3 reduced fat chips S 1\2 cup almonds, cc strawberry banana smoothie. With those almonds, I am hitting over 1100 cals. That is 400 something cals for 1\2 cup. YUCK!!! The fish didn't help and it isn't doing so hot right now on my tummy. Gross!!! It hurts!! Boo Hoo!! Due to back issues, I can't really do anything as far as working out. He has me doing some kind of lifting just from my chest. Feels like a push up but my butt is still on the ground. He won't let me walk that fast or far right now. He said that he sees a gastric bypass pat. at least once a month. That is a new one each month due to back pain. My X rays showed something. I don't remember what he called it though. He did say that I was very flexable and he was surprised. He hadn't seen anyone in a while as flexable as I am. I just had to laugh!!!!! Talk to you later. I'll call you soon and tell you the whole ordeal. Love, tonya

I am 12 lbs from my doctor's goal of 190 and my goal used to be 180, but I would truly be happy to just say I am under the 200 mark. Even if I get stuck at 199 forever- as long as I can mainatin that!!!!!

Topic: RE: Feeling the heat.
I have experienced the cold. I was always hot and since surgery, I am cold. I dont know why. I have had my blood tested, and nothing has come up. My Dr now says he thinks it can be the lowerblood pressure I have since being pregnant, but that doesnt account for last year after surgery. I have not experienced the getting hot yet.- Melissa

I was wondering if any of you have had this happen. Pre-op I used to stay hot alllll the time. I always thought that it was weight related and still do. Since surgery I have stayed cold, again I assumed that it was weight (or lack of it) related. I just thought I didn't have enough meat on my bones to keep me warm anymore lol. But... I upped my protein this past week and I've been feeling the heat again. My fiance said that it is because the body uses more energy to burn off protein than it does to burn carbs. I was just wondering if this is true and if anyone else had experienced this.

I'll probably have another protein shake for a snack tonight. I'm trying so hard to up my protein and slack off on carbs, I let things get out of hand for awhile.
