Topic: RE: FINALLY just plain overweight!!
Debra, good for you. I can hardly wait until I can get into the normal range myself! Still struggling with that last 30 pounds after a year! Darn it all anyways. Oh well, congrats on the goal and keep up your great progress.

Topic: RE: 1 yr rebirth today UPDATE!!!
Hey Jerri sorry took me so long to respond my computer is down at home and I am on at work now.
Well looks like I am not the only one with a story. We all have a different story to tell cuz there is always someone who needs to hear it.
I tell you when my sleep study was done and I stopped breathing over 275 times I was like WHAT!!! I am sooo glad to be on the other side.
Dont our kids just say the darndest things. They are so precious.
Your lucky to have someone there by your side. I had no one and it was hard. I would do it all over again though. The man in my life is wonderful and I thank god for him daily but it took a minute to get there.
I am just happy to see my 1 year out ya know. Never thought it would be here but here we are... Kudos to you also girl. Thanks for the post and I loved reading your story. Gonna go check out ya profile now..

Goodmorning all, I have to share my joy, I'm finally no longer considered obese just plain overweight. I've lost 149 lbs so far and I have 31 to go. Good Luck to everyone, is'nt it wonderful to be so blessed. Have a Great Day. Debra
Topic: RE: I miss you all .
Glad you are not leaving. Sorry I didn't get back sooner, I have been a slacker lately! I always enjoy your posts, even if I don't respond to them. You are one of the many that keep this board going. Glad you will not let someone else's insecurity hurt your own self esteem and ignore their hurtful words. I like it that you are perky and frankly think we should all try to be a little more perky. As I inch nearer to my 1 year anniversary and am just thankful to still be alive, I appreciate people such as yourself that make the world a better place! Keep up just being yourself!!

HI Julie,
I'm sure that as I type this you are already in surgery. I pray that all went well & you have a speedy & healthy recovery.

Topic: RE: sizes...juniors vs. misses
Hi Andrea,
The main difference is cut. I've never fit well into Jrs. because I'm tall, & have curves. Even, now, much thinner, I have more of an hour-glass shape so I don't fit into the straight lines of Jr clothing. Tops are ok, but I have to get a Large in the JR, as opposed to a small/medium in misses.
And skirts....forget it, way too short, for me like wearing a belt!!!
Good Luck!

Topic: RE: 1 Year Post-Op Today (May 13, 2005)
HI Angela,
I'm sorry I missed this post on Friday, it was my 1yr Anniv as well. I'm happy to share it with you! Congrats on the -170!!! that is amazing. You have come a very long way and should be VERY proud of yourself. Try to keep in mind how far you have come and give your self smaller goals so the rest doesn't seem so daunting.
Wishing you continued success & much happiness,
Pam

Topic: RE: Pam...HOW WAS THE DATE?
HI Cheryl,
Thanks so much for asking! The Ball was wonderful & the date was great. We had a lot of fun. I was as nervous as all get out, but, survived and really enjoyed myself. He's a nice guy & fun to be with. Will there be a 2nd date? time will tell. It's a little weird because regardless I'll see him alot because we are in a dance class together. It feels kind of like dating someone you work with. You know, that ackward feeling of not knowing. I never was a "serial dater" and it's no easier at 48 than it was at 18. Guess I'll have to just keep practicing untill I get it right! Hopefully, it won't be another 8-9 years between dates!
Have a wonderful week,
Pam
