suport group

hi all ..im from HAMILTON and i was wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting on SUNDAY at hamilton mountain around 12;00..at a resterant to talk about our forms or experiences..Ask questions of each other, or generaly to just talk to someone who understands..WE could start our own suport group..LOL..The place i have in mind is on the corner of UPPER OTTAWA..AND FENNEL..its called WHISKIE JOES..and they have safe seats ...LOL..and can get coffee or tea..or food if hungry carolynne 53 BMI just starting

It would be nice to have one in Hamilton. It's been tried a few times but not much luck. obesitycare.ca was a great site but sadly its very inactive. I couldn't attend every meeting but would definetely go when I can. Hopefully there are more Hamiltonians interested.

Carolynne, You should also consider joining the OSSG Toronto Yahoo Group. The OSSG Toronto Yahoo Group has monthly face to face support group meetings in Barrie, Milton and Niagara-on-the-Lake and occasional meetings in Downtown Toronto. It is very informative and motivating to meet other pre-ops going through the OHIP approval and pre-op testing process and meeting post-ops and their loved ones who have new and better lives because of WLS. Because of Easter this months Barrie and Milton meetings overlapped and Milton was cancelled. There are several people from Hamilton, Brulington and Niagara going to the Barrie meeting this Saturday at 1 PM. You should join us. If you post on the OSSG Toronto Yahoo Group site you will likely find someone you can carpool with. I would take you, but I have a party to go to in Richmond Hill after the Barrie meeting, so I am going solo this month. There is also a Niagara-on-the-Lake meeting in a week or two and next month there will be a Milton meeting. I hope to meet you at one of these three upcoming meetings. Do you have the date/time and location for the Niagara-On-The-Lake meeting? By the way I am taking your earlier advice and I have a meeting with my doctor next week. I am going to ask him to send me for a DS with Dr. Lutrzykowski. Thanks for your help, you made a difficult choice a lot easier.

Hi Brian! The Niagara-on-the-Lake meeting meets on the first Saturday of the month (with the exception of July) from 2-5 pm at the NOTL Public Library. It is located at 10 Anderson Lane. Hope to see you there on the 6th. Heather
