My body seems to be rebelling against me
I was in the hospital again this past weekend (I got out on Christmas eve afternoon) with severe stomach pains. After 36 hours and numerous tests, they sent me home not knowing what caused the pain. My dad thinks its my bodies way of rebelling against me for losing so much weight. I'm at about 165-168lbs down from 301lbs. I'm not sure what to think. I don't have my gallbladder anymore but that is what the pain felt like. Gallbladder attacks. Very painful!
I'm feeling like I don't know how to eat anymore and I haven't gotten 64oz of liquid in one day.... ever. Maybe once or twice but not more than that. I'm also not doing well on my vitamins and suppliments. I'm concerned that I'm spiriling downward and don't know how to get back up.
Please help!! Do you have any tips or advice for getting back on track?
Thanks!
Jessica
Jessica --- is it pain in the upper stomach or pouch area or more abdominal?
Don't let this slide. This sounds very much like symtoms of a Bowel Obstruction. I'm no Doctor, but, they think I may have a small one & I know of a few people who have had this. Unfortunately, according to my Doc, it is RARELY detected by MOST common tests. Sometimes it can be found with a CT scan. Are you seeing/talking to your WLS Surgeon? Don't let this continue. IF a bowel obstruction, it can get really ugly & dangerous really fast.
I don't want to scare you, but I DO think you need to really keep on top of this. Please be careful, be safe be healthy!
Wishing you the best

Happy New Year Jessica.
My name is Miyan and I too have had the same problem as what you are describing. I have been to the emergency room numerous of times with this searing pain that makes me want to pass out. The last time I had this episode, my PCP scheduled me to have an Upper GI which showed I have a "slipping" Hiatel Hernia. I am on the same restrictions as if I had acid reflux. I also take an acid relux medication (Protonics) daily. I have been okay since September (knock on wood). My doctor says there is no need to surgically repair it unless it gets worse. She says that in some cases, repairing it does more harm. I am going to get a second opinon from the surgeon that performed my WLS.
I wish you luck and pain-free days (and nights).
