First bump in the road@ 15 months
Last Saturday night I started to have a pain in my stomach. I couldn't sleep or get comfortable. I had had a sore throat so I thought maybe I was getting a virus. By Sunday morning I knew something was wrong with my pouch. I called my surgeon who had me come to the ER where he admitted me for observation. I had an ultrasound of my gall bladder and a scope of my pouch. No gall bladder problems and no ulcer but my pouch is seriously irritated and he's not sure why. I was also found to be severely anemic. I had an iron infusion by IV while still in the hospital. I was released Tuesday with acid reducing meds and on liquids and soft foods diet, just like post-op 15 months ago. I've lost about 8 lbs. down to 125. I still don't feel well, especially when I eat. It's been a strange week. I haven't done anything differently to irritate my stomach and I take my vitamins regularly. I know we'll figure it out but it's really inconvenient being under the weather. Sorry to whine but it sure helps to vent.
Take care,
Melissa

Melissa,
The main thing is to take care of yourself... I too, have been having some funky pains and I think reading your post is now confirming that I need to go see my doctor... BUT... the main thing for you now, is rest... do what you are told and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!
I'm sending you hugs and healing energy!!

Melissa ,
WOW .. me too .. get out of here .. for about a month .. I am having the worst time keeping food down . At night time it gets really bad ... I have been vomiting in my sleep .. and bad pains in lower abs. I went to doc..they put me on previcid .. but I still have such trouble eating . I am starting to get really worried . I am still loosing weight .. it is as if it will not stop .. and I am begining to get too thin .
If the vomiting persist .. I am going back to the doc.. it may be the foods I am eating too .. really dense meats .. I am trying so hard to get protein in .. perhaps I am trying too hard .
I am sorry you have been sick .. I hope you get to feeling better soon .
Hugs .
