Slow Postings lately
So, what's going on with everyone? There hardly any movement here on our May board lately.
I haven't been losing lately, so today I am starting my own Plateu Buster. I am doing carb countdown milk (which isn't on the plateu buster), but I can't seem to drink my protein shakes with water.
We'll see if I can lose my last 5 pounds in the next few week. How's everyone's eating habits? I know mine are ok, I did have a few weeks where I was eating more junk than I should have.
Yesterday I ate chinese food for dinner, and it was so good, but I guess I ate too much and got sick I don't do that often, I just don't know what's gotten into me. So that made me really think about what I want, and that is to be successful, not only to get to my dr's goal, but to be successful long term.
Today I had:
B - 8 oz carb countdown with 1 scoop unjury protein
s - 12 almonds
For lunch I am going to have another protein shake
and for dinner I am going to have a 1 egg denver omelet (1 oz ham, 1 oz green pepper and 1 egg)
Maybe a night snack, we'll see if I'm hungry. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer, (it's really hot here in Chicago)

It has been pretty slow on this board lately but I check it often. I like to keep up with those of us who had surgery last May. Keeps me motivated. Good luck with your last few pounds. How tall are you? I know I've asked before but can't find it. I'm short so I'd like to get to around 125 or so but it's getting harder to lose. Let me know how things go on the plateau buster.

I am 5'2 1/2" (have to have that 1/2") I was 5'3, but shrunk 1/2". My doc said that was normal because we lost weight, and lose fat from under our feet as well. I know it's getting harder to lose, it's hard.
I was 134, then went back up to 137-138 and kept hovering around there. I did so good yesterday, I had 2 protein shakes and 1 eg denver omelet, and 2 sugar free fudge bars and about 70 oz to drink. I am back down to 134 today, so I think this will work if I really try. Are you at goal yet? If not, try this plateu buster thing. (I am, but still having a few things not on the list , like carb countdown milk and my fudge pop)

I hardly ever come on the board - about one a week now. I am so busy working. I am down about 110 lbs. and I have not been losing lately. I am eating more and more meats though - and I am sticking to my diet. I also joined a gym and am working out each morning. I am 50 years old and lately the weight loss has slowed tremendously. I am still happy I have had the surgery and I hope to lose more, but it will take more work. I am 50 years old and started out at 332 and now am at 222. I wonder how all of the other May members are doing? If anyone out there is still losing - how about some advice?

I know about the slow losses. I am lucky when I lose 5 pounds a month. It is really slow, but if you continue to use your tool, protein, protein, and water water, and exercise 30 minutes every day, you will continue to lose. Don't give up! You are doing so good!! I try to keep my calories from 800-1100 per day, and protein is usually 65-90 grams a day. Hope this helps you.

I started at 302lbs. I'm between 182-184. I keep going back and forth. It's been this way for about a month..I'm going to start on the Atkins I guess. I want to reach 140. I'm a carb lover,salty chips etc. I know what I need to do. I work late and get up late so my meals are strange.
Today I had:
B at 1:00 pm: Banana and a 20oz sugar free mocha on the way to work.(I drink through out the first part of my day)
Lunch:A half a chicken breast with shake-n-bake on it,1/2 c of mashed pototes,1/2 c of green beans.
S: small piece of jerky and 2 sour dough pretzels. 12 oz diet pepsi.
Dinner: other half of the chicken breast ,1 tbs of mashed pototes,1 tbs green beans. (at work)
Dinner at home:3 pieces of bacon,1 egg(fried) 2 tbs of hashbrowns mixed with my egg.
S: 1 ice cream cone with Breyers SF (made with splenda) chocalate ice cream. 1/2 cup has 130 calories,10 grams fat,10g carb(4 grams net carbs)4g sugar. It is very good when you have a sweet craving.
I guess this is why I'm not losing..I eat to much?? Does it seem like this is to much?? Please be honest..

This does seem a little bit much. As for the icecream, it's ok once in a while, I do to, but try to cut out the cone. You do eat too many carbs (for me at least, I won't lose when I eat those many carbs.)
Cut out the banana, lots of carbs and sugars.,...try to eat berries, much healthier for you, and sweet. If you cut out the pretzels and the pop, you will also have an easier time losing.
You've done a wonderful job, and if you only need to lose a few more pounds try cutting out as many carbs as you can, especially the pretzels and bananas.
Do you like protein drinks? If so, have 1 for breakfast. It adds protein to your day, and like me, gives me energy for the whole day when I have one.

Thank You for your honesty. I know I have been over doing it with the carbs. It was always my problem before wls. Now the cravings are creeping back to me. I was drinking drinking Atkins protein shakes,called Advantage. I will try to start back on those,and cut the carbs. I don't have a banana everyday.
I'm going to start Atkins on Monday. I'm just so frustrated with my self and my lack of self control!!
