Yep .. the next time you go out to eat .. before you order anything .. tell the waitress when she brings your meal .. bring a doggie bag ( or box ) This way you can imediatly go in and take out the food amount you want and put the rest away . So you can have it later of share it later . I do this .. and it is great .. this way .. I am only looking at my little portions of life .. I had a waitress look at me funny the other night .. and said .. My God you did not even touch it yet .. I told her that's right .. I am not a waster .. and better it be covered up and taken home .. Try it .. It helps with your mindset .. as we are still learning .. and our heads tend to think bigger than our pouchies.. Love you all ! Nat

Excellent tip! I do this so that the server can't see what I've eaten and what I haven't. They really get worried if you don't eat much. Now that I'm not plowing through my food with a shovel, I find myself looking around restaurants and feeling horrible sadness for the morbidly obese people around me. As much as I believe in personal responsibility, I can't help but put a large helping of the blame on the food industry for overfilling our plates so horribly. My husband got what must have been two CUPS of mashed potatoes plonked on his plate the other day. It makes me want to cry sometimes. I also feel so incredibly blessed to be liberated! Hugs, Susan

Nat I do the same thing!!! That way I dont over eat, with the food already packed, and I know I have just the right portion size.- melissa
