May 24 2004
Hi!
Anyone have their surgery on May 24th??? I can't believe that it has been almost 1 year. I had all of my blood work done today, and I meet with my surgeon on the 24th for my 1 year check up. I look back on the past year, and decided it was the best year of my life. Dropping over 100 pounds, getting off of all my medication, being able to walk without pain!!! I would do it all over in a minute!!!
Happy Anniversary to all of us May babies!!!
Teri
HI Teri
I had my WLS on May 24, 2004. You are right. It's been an amazing year. I've lost 125 lbs. and feel better than I have in 20 years. I walked a half marathon in January and started kick boxing class last week. I couldn't have done these things a year ago. Congratulations on all your success.

Hey Teri, I too had my surgery on May 24th 2004. I am so happy I chose to go on this journey. I have lost 117lbs. I started out at 298lbs and I am now 181lbs. I am still far away from my goal of 130lbs. I am happy though. I will ot be losing much weight this year due to being pregnant, which will bother me some, however, if I did not have this surgery I beleive I would not have been able to get pregnant. We are so happy!! Keep up the good work and let us know what your Dr says of all your success!- Melissa
hi yall,
my date is may 24,2004 as well, I have lost 140lb down to 250. which is great for me I did weigh right around 400lbs right before surgery. I still losing an average of 10lb a month, I don't know how long this will last, also I am right around four months pregnant, which is a shock for me, I was on depo shot and I already have a big family four children already, but that is the way god wants it, so no complaints from me. I am so glad that I had this surgery done. if I don't lose another pound I will be happy.
