OBESITY HELP - IT IS MORE THAN A WEB SITE

I wanted to share my thoughts on our web site . I had a round table session tonight via tele conference with Bo McCoy and Monica Gantz . Bo is one of Leaders here on OH and Monica Gantz is our Director of the Chapter Leaders as well as a known contributor here on OH . We had an open forum to ask questions about our support groups . One of my questions to them was how does Obesity Help get it's funding ? I found out that that Gastric Bypass Surgeons contribute.. Plastic Surgeon groups by banner ads . Vendors buy spots here by advertising with banner pages .. Members contribute monies as well. I found out that there is no profit here .. Only money that is put back into the site and money that is spent for events and member training. How can you keep this going ?.. When you see an ad click on it .. You do not have to buy anything ,, just look around . For each time we visit one of the sites it tells that advertiser that we ARE looking and we do need them here . I also found out that there are so many events coming up . We have one this year in Va.Beach .. Check out the events calendar when you get a chance . So many new items are added and all the money goes back into the site . http://www.obesityhelpstore.com. Any writers out here .. Ever thought about contributing your story to Obesity Help Magazine. Visit the site .. And by all means if you have not signed up for it get the subscription, it is a magazine just for us . http://www.obesityhelpmagazine.com. I guess you can tell that I am excited about this site and my new found goal with my Team Leader Support Group . I know that Obesity Help was with me from the beginning of my journey until now. How many nights did I sit here asking questions about everything under the sun and having caring, loving people write back. This was all free. I never spent a dime here to join . Where I had visited other sites on the Internet that wanted you to pay for information about this surgery . How many people out there who are Obese and needing this may have missed out because they do not know this site exist . It is more than a web site .. It is more than just a forum .. It is a message waiting to be sent . This surgery saved my life .. And If you have had it .. More than likely it has given you your life back too .. Why not share it .. .
